ill logic - prototype noise maker
YouTube via ChrisLody
"Just a little 4093 based noise maker I've been working on which will be available as a kit (with or without parts) and pre built when its finished here:
http://www.symetricolour.etsy.com
The nand gates are used to make 3 oscillators. Osc1 covers low to high audio frequencies. Osc2+3 cover Lfo to mid range audio frequencies and can be used for modulation of pitch and for gating each other in various ways. the forth nand is used to invert the output of one of the gates so that it can alternately gate the other oscillators.
There will be a few more controls on the finished design but here I am just relying on using wires as jumpers. The gating between oscillators will also be a lot cleaner on the finished item. I couldn't wire it as I would have liked here as I had no SPDT switches so I've done something similar with signal diodes and SPST switches, but it doesn't sound so cool."

follow-up to this post.
"Jean-Jacques Perrey makes a 1966 appearance on popular game show, "I've Got A Secret". Steve Allen is the host. In this episode Perrey appears with live musicians, and simulates their real instruments' sounds with the sounds of the electronic Ondioline.
At the end of this episode, Gershon Kingsley comes onstage, and Perrey & Kinglsey play a "live" version of "Spooks in Space" - one of the tunes from their "The In Sound from Way Out!" album. This is the only known television appearance of Perrey & Kingsley."
