Hyve Synth Workshop Sep 24 at Lost Arts in Chicago

via Eventbrite where you'll find details on how to attend.

"Skot Weidmann designed the Hyve Synthesizer to be a beautiful, build-it-yourself musical instrument. Heralded by pros and beginners alike for its great design and playability, this synth is a fun, expressive device that responds to subtle movements of your fingers. And on Saturday, September 24th you can make one of your own at Lost Arts. Join Skot for a workshop where you’ll tinker, tune, and take home a handmade synthesizer."

We know know the Lost Arts connection in this previous post. :)

8 Modular Artists Featured on Soundfly

You'll find the full feature on Soundfly here.

"Today, we’re going to take a look at modular synthesis as it’s used in the modern electronic landscape, and highlight its flexibility in studying the way that a wide variety of artists use it in an equally wide variety of genres. While this isn’t really a piece to encourage you to buy a modular… be warned: By the end, you may have accidentally caught the synth bug!"
