In this soundset I tried to get the most interesting timbres out of Crave.
It may seem that a single Oscillator, Filter, simple Envelope and LFO can't do too much. But experiments with the patchbay give a wide range of sounds. Some timbres are supposed to be played on a keyboard. For others it's better to use Arp or Seq. But, of course, you're free to experiment.
There are mild and soft timbres, as well as wild and noisy.

The bank consists of 35 patches:
- 15 Leads
- 9 Plucks
- 1 Percussion
- 5 Sequences
- 5 FXs

By Sequence I mean a patch, where an internal sequencer is used and its parameters are modulated.
And, of course, you may use any of the presets from the soundset with the internal sequencer or arpeggiator.
Percussion is a patch where you can get some drum tones depending on the low/high notes

In some patches I use «Assign» output. I did it for ModWheel, but you may try other sources.
You need up to 6 patch cords to recreate the patches."

1. Ableton Live Rhythm Techniques and Tips for Synth and Pad Tutorial

Creative use of Live built-in Audio Effects gives interesting results.
I intensively used the effects that have some 'rhythm' features and synced modulations.
To demonstrate them I turned a pad into a complicated synth part.

The devices used: Audio Effect Rack, Auto Filter, Auto Pan, Beat Repeat, Compressor, EQ Eight, Echo, Filter Delay, Gate, Glue Compressor, Multiband Dynamics, Reverb.
No M4L devices were used.

2. Korg Radias Vocoder and Rhythmic Pad

An example of a non-vocal vocoder use: a drum loop modulates the pad. All the details are inside the video.

3. Xfer Serum Ambient Pulsing Pad Preset

We did a huge work in order to produce this bank of presets. We sampled 15 analog synths and then turn the records into wavetables. And on the basis of these waves we created two banks of presets: Analog Dreams Vol.1 Vintage and Vol.2 Modern. 4. Access Virus initializes memory. Can't store presets. Battery replacement.

All my presets are gone and Virus can’t store anything anymore. The battery is dead, and this is the process of its replacement.

God, bless Mystery Islands for the Virus editor. All my presets were stored on the computer, and I've lost almost nothing.

Done using the bank of presets for Effect Rack "One-Shot Extension" -it turns one-shots and short sounds into long sounding or even endless parts. The timbral changes are great as well: warm, lo-fi, dirty, noisy, cold, wide and distant colors are collected for these racks.
This soundset includes 25 presets.

Open the plugin again. Push Menu -> Rescan Presets Folders. You will see the new soundset in the plugin, both in the Steam Tab (Local) and in the upper presets bar.
In case you don't see the new soundset, relaunch the plugin.

Arturia DrumBrute Impact 64 Patterns. Broken Grooves Demo

"Arturia DrumBrute Impact – Broken Grooves is a collection of 64 percussion patterns suitable for many genres: IDM, trip-hop, synthwave, retrowave, dubstep, breaks, breakbeat, drum’n’bass, lounge, downtempo, and more.
🎼 Each sequence contains 64 steps and uses all drum instruments, with a few exceptions.
The patterns are meticulously crafted: Accents, Color Steps, and Step Rollers are all carefully programmed.

🥁 The patterns are self-sufficient by default, but I recommend interacting with the drum machine for a more interesting and expressive live performance: use Mute and Solo to build your arrangement, Roller for fills, and adjust instrument parameters — especially Decay. The combination of long and short hits always has a strong impact on the groove.

🕹 You can also bring more variation by using Swing and Random, either globally or per instrument.
⚙️ The collection covers a wide BPM range: 90–180. You can set BPM manually in Internal Clock mode or sync to any external source and its tempo.

💡 The soundset includes only patterns — no sounds/presets/timbre settings.

I added synth parts to the demos to put the drums into a musical context. These synth parts are not included in the soundset.

📻 This bank of presets is inspired by space, lo-fi, and retro sound, adapted to modern times. Powerful, deep basses and floating pads will help you create unique compositions suitable for both lo-fi genres and more commercial projects with electronic, pop, and rock vibes.
Many presets feature a more universal character while still retaining their distinct individuality.

🎹 The presets are presented in the Instrument Rack format, which combines synths and effects in a single device. Each Instrument Rack has 8 Macros that make it easy to develop timbre and adjust key parameters.

🎛 The macros are a significant part of the soundset. They can change tone, stereo width, modulation depth and rate, noise level, distortion, detuning, space/echo/reverb, effects mix, envelope parameters, and others.
You may control them via MIDI controller like Push, use them for automation, or map the macros to Ableton modulators like LFO, Shaper, and others.

For the soundset, we utilized only Ableton Suite's built-in instruments and effects. No external installations, such as M4L devices or samples, are required.

The soundset is suitable for many genres: ambient, electronica, IDM, trip-hop, lounge, downtempo, pop, chill out, new age, cinematic, trance, deep, progressive, techno, retrowave, synthwave, breaks, jungle, drum and bass, dub and others.
