Elastic OSC DX7 Update Preview – Playing Some Sounds!

video upload by Elastic Instruments (Oliver Greschke)

"The upcoming Elastic OSC update will let you load DX7 banks into the three OP6 engines.

There are thousands of DX7 banks available online, and we’ve already included some for you:
• Classic DX7 presets
• AI-generated patches by theintrovert: https://theintrovert.net
• DX7 sounds by legendary synth YouTuber Jexus: https://sounds-for-synths.com

Here’s a short preview video mainly with sounds by the latter."

Elastic OSC iOS App Release Video

video upload by Oliver Greschke

"Elastic OSC is a synthesizer app based on the DSP code of the Mutable Instruments Plaits hardware oscillator module, one of the most beloved (and cloned) oscillator module in the Eurorack modular scene!
While Plaits is monophonic, Elastic OSC can also be used in 8-voice polyphonic mode. This means you can use it either as a sophisticated, experimental monophonic sound source — like the original — or as a regular polyphonic keyboard with a wide variety of great sounds. Of course, you can also combine both approaches!

Elastic OSC is designed for playability and simplicity – similar to the Plaits hardware, which has 4 Main Knobs for all essential Synth Parameters. Elastic OSC is essentially a one-screen app with no menu diving. It features two XY pads for intuitive sound manipulation of the OSC engine and the effects. Despite the simplicity of the clean interface, the sound possibilities are vast. Under the surface you’ll find 24 different oscillator models and the ability to automate parameter changes, as it is possible in all Elastic apps.

Elastic OSC Jam with Red Sky Lullaby Presets

video upload by Oliver Greschke

"Elastic OSC will get released 5.5.25 !! 🥳
In this short noodle, I play with the presets created by Red Sky Lullaby. The Arturia MicroFreak is used only as a MIDI keyboard, all sounds and effects are generated by Elastic OSC itself.

4 iPad's & laptop live jam @ Apple Store Berlin September 2015

Published on Sep 10, 2015 Oliver Greschke

Short clip but very cool to see. Exposure for our world at an Apple store. BTW, anyone looking forward to the iPad Pro? I started with the original iPad excited to use it as a controller and for virtual synths. It works well as a controller and I still use it to this day. It was a little underpowered for synths, especially newer ones. I picked up an iPad Mini Retina which works well for synths, but I'm missing a larger screen. I'm definitely tempted by the Pro, but man, the price...

Video description:
"Live jam from our talk we gave at Apple Store Berlin.
Featuring Elastic Drums, zMors Modular, Studiomux (Midimux&Audiomux), Touchable and Ableton Live on a Laptop.
Elastic Drums and zMors Modular were synced via Midimux to the Laptop, which was the tempo host. zMors Modular went directly into the laptop via Audiomux VST Plugin. 2 other iPads were controlling Ableton DAW and Ableton instruments with Touchable. All connections were made with standard lightning cables, no special soundcards or connectors have been used."
