Alter Y is the pedal version of Alter 2 eurorack module featuring four 1/4" jacks in addition to 1/8" as well as buffered switching that allows for trails.

Though it functions the same as other pedals, this pedal is a little different. Most pedals are made for guitars and then artists may choose to use them in different ways. We made this pedal to work with either standard ¼” jacks (for both input and output) or 1/8” (3.5mm) jacks for use with anything else. For those who like to use CV (control voltage) for any eurorack format, cv keyboard, or pedals which output cv (eg. expression or sequencing), all four of the main knobs have cv inputs (mix, x, y, filter) so you can control your knobs without touching if the desire strikes you.

These pedals accept guitar, line or eurorack levels.

The enclosure is very thick, gold plated PCB (it’s very, very tough).

Included power is standard for most pedals (2.1mm, -tip)

We wanted a broad array of effects in each X and Y pedal so each is a mashup of effects which we thought complimented one another when used together. Running X into Y or vis versa creates some powerful changes."

"For sale is one of the rarest and most sought after in the Folktek Garden Series, The Micro Garden. It is signed by the developer and artist Arius Blaze. It is in very good cosmetic, and 100% operational condition, with no noisy pots, etc. The Micro Garden will ship to include the Power Supply. Insured shipping is $ 40 within the Continental U.S., and all sales are final. Listed below is some information provided by Folktek.

The Garden is a conceptual sound art work and a phenomenal instrument for extending micro sounds into waves or generating odd sounds based on an acoustic source. The sound very much reflects the aesthetic - an electric garden with waves growing from the sound field they're created from. The sound board and spouts of wire extending from it are picked up with high sensitivity and run through a digital delay with a very warm sound. This delay can be as tight as possible or extend to about one and a half seconds. Every sprig of string has a unique sound and the Garden can be played as a percussion piece or soundscape generator. The feedback can be adjusted to generate long extensions of micro sounds to become waves then captured in long format if desired. There is as much musical potential as there is a potential for strange sounds - bits of waves can be stretched in real time and become distant-relative abstractions of themselves."

"Biofeedback exploration using brainwaves via the BI1 Brainterface to control a hybrid CV/MIDI Buchla setup with the Fake Noise - Morphagene, Magnetic Freak - Gaussian, and five instances of INA GRM Tools 'Atelier' via MIDI👌🏽

Original sample sounds produced with an EMS VCS3, a Buchla 200 system, and later processed with Atelier. Timpani type percussion extracted from my track “Maestro” which was created by accident with only a 212 Dodecamodule and a Folktek Resonant Garden as a feedback patch, loaded into Morphagene.

Jeff demonstrated the electro-acoustic resonating instrument which boasts an intuitive design that encourages tactile interaction. Users can tap anywhere on the instrument to generate sound, and the Resonant Garden sends it through three effects processors. Each processor features seven distinct effects, providing a diverse sonic palette. The effects can be seamlessly changed by tapping on the hexagon interface, allowing for real-time experimentation.

Morton Subotnick & Steve Horelick @ Brooklyn Synth & Pedal Expo (October 21-22)

"The Brooklyn Synth & Pedal Expo, a free for all interactive display of synthesizers and pedals of all kinds, will return to Brooklyn on the weekend of October 21st and 22nd in a new, larger venue in Greenpoint.

Hosted in a 6k sq ft warehouse in the heart of one of Brooklyn’s most musical neighborhoods located between Williamsburg and Queens, this year's event is expected to be attended by around 2k visitors. The organizers are excited to announce the involvement in this year's expo of two legendary NY synthesists who will be hosting talks and a performance on Sunday 22 in the 70-seat theater embedded in the venue

"Buchla Focus" on Sunday October 22
The two presentations will be part of a 3 hour block from 12pm to 3pm on Sunday 10/22 dedicated to Buchla, which will also feature a Music Easel product presentation and an industry panel featuring the company owner Eric Fox among others.

Morton Subotnick, one of the pioneers in the development of electronic music and multi-media performance, is best known for his 1967 composition Silver Apples of the Moon, the first electronic work commissioned by a record company, and for his creative output linked to Buchla synths. He will host a talk about synthesis on Sunday October 22 in the early afternoon (schedule to be released soon). He will be the event's keynote speaker.

Steve Horellick is a tireless educator and acclaimed soundtrack composer (he wrote the Butterfly in the Sky song from PBS's Reading Rainbow). He is also known for his immersive, textural surround performances. At the Brooklyn event, he will perform using a hybrid setup of synth and pedals in surround sound. Steve will be hosting a talk/performance involving several synths (including Buchla) and some guitar pedals.

Eurorack Classes and GSG.live workshops
The schedule of the presentations will be also integrated by two Eurorack classes hosted by Ben Atchouel of the New York Modular Society and two workshops about online performances curated by the team at GSG.live.
