"Just arrived here. I could not dive deep into the synth. So I am scatchning only the surfice in this video and my short FIRST IMPRESSIONS of the new kid.
Very versatile little machine with paraphonic mode to play triads and program triads in the step sequencer. 2 independet filter. 1 OTA HP/LP, 1 SSM style, parallel or in series.
Now a few shortcomings:
DISTORSION is welcome but has to be that harsh?
Also: A programmable DISTORSION is a good feature but without a programmable level BEHIND the DISTORSION makes the synth almost unsuitable for a live performance as for huge unsustainable loudness gaps between different patches. DELAY and REVERB are only average and far away industry standard.
Flexible MODULATION ROUTING but it is quite a mess to readjust levels as there are for instance no dedicated attenuaters for LFO mod levels for the VCF. I understand that there is not much space on the panel 1. But LFO WAVE knob could get a 2nd shift function. Main job: LFO amount, shift-job: wave....
So these were my fist impressins."

"A little journey with a tiny but aggressive analog synth: Uno Synth Pro X by IK Multimedia. With three oscillators, dual filter, three envelopes, two LFOs, analog drive, fm, sync, rm, three stages of digital effects, patch memory and a 64-step sequencer, it offers a great price/performance ratio.
Since most presets and demos seem to be based on sequencing, in making and playing my patches I tried to focus on playability. All original sounds, programmed from scratch. No external effects.

Con tre oscillatori, doppio filtro, tre inviluppi, due LFO, drive analogico, fm, sync, rm, tre stadi di effetti digitali, 256 memorie e un sequencer a 64 step, offre un ottimo rapporto prezzo/prestazioni.
Dato che la maggior parte dei preset e delle demo sembrano basarsi sul sequencing, nel creare e suonare le mie patch ho cercato di concentrarmi sulla suonabilità. Tutti suoni originali, programmati da zero. Non ho usato nessun effetto esterno."

"We take a look at the new Uno Synth Pro X from IK Multimedia - rather than a fully new instrument, this is an update for their Uno Synth Pro Desktop which we really enjoyed when we took a look. The X is only available in this form and adds a whole lot of extra UI and physical controls to ultimately the same (or very similar) synth engine.

There are however some differences:-
New Hardware UI with metal top plate (no capacitive touch keyboard and strips)
Additional Envelope Generator ENV3
USB-C connection for MIDI (and included additional PSU with separate connection)
Vib and Chorus Ensemble in place of flange and phase
Shimmer Reverb Algorithm
Bassline Mode - modifies the behaviour of the synth engine, adds accenting controls to the sequencer.

"First time play with the Uno Synth Pro X, and the only way I know is to test it with a banging Roland TR-909. All segments are recorded in a single take, no edits. All sounds are running into an Elektron Heat for a little warmth on the master bus. The Synth Pro X is pretty immediate to use and I'm yet to look at the manual. Does it sound like a 303, maybe yes and maybe no -- but there's so much more going on. Love the recordable automation and parameter locking, along with the superb delay and reverbs!! Thanks (grazie) to IK Multimedia for sending this to me to try out.

"We had the IK Multimedia UNO Synth Pro X in for review to hit the release date, but editor Nick broke his wrist and so missed the opportunity.
However we did manage to spend a little quality time with it and the Boss RC505 MKII.
The new synth builds on the UNO Synth Pro, which we thought highly of although the user interface was somewhat lacking. The new Pro X has essentially the same structure - 3 analog oscillators, twin filter, 2 LFOs and a third envelope. With some tweaks to the effects too."

"The Evolution of the IK Multimedia UNO... Its grown knobs!! ... and buttons.. and is a lot better for it. It's the new Uno Synth Pro X. Here's my demo and review, but if you know the channel you'll know I'm a fan of this analog synth. Its predecessors never looked like they sounded - this not only looks the part, but sounds it too.

Any reservations anyone had about the UNO Synth Pro were not about the sound, just the interface. So this is a very welcome update."
