"Quarantine. Challenging times. I feel that performers have a responsibility to perform even if live in public is not an option. Music can help us navigate the haze of isolation and uncertainty.

Here is one of the rare works from a major motion picture score in the last few years that prominently features the theremin. Quarantine, composed by Justin Hurwitz, is a track from the film score to First Man, directed by Damien Chazelle, starring Ryan Gosling and Claire Foy.

In case you have been waiting for years to hear what progress I’ve made with the theremin… the wait is over. In upcoming videos I’ll have a lot more technology to share, but I’ll keep it simple for now with this theremin and modeled harp duet.
