Tangerine Dreams 🍊 | This Tangerine Tree Will Calm Your Nervous System
video upload by Bio Music Vibrations
"Tangerine Dreams 🍊 is a deep sensory meditation created from the bioelectric signals of a living tangerine tree.
Using bioelectric sensors and a modular synthesizer, I translated the tree’s natural electrical activity into music — gentle bell-like tones, warm drones, and slow organic pulses shaped by winter, light, and touch.
This sound is not composed.
It is listened to.
The result is a calm, immersive soundscape that feels warm, fresh, and quietly alive — like sunlight stored inside fruit and slowly released into cold winter air.
Perfect for:
• meditation
• sleep and deep rest
• nervous system regulation
• emotional grounding
• mindfulness and presence
Use headphones for the full experience.
Listen slowly.
Sweetness unfolds in time.
🌿 This is part of the Bio Music Vibrations project — where plants, nature, and technology meet to create living soundscapes for healing and inner peace."

90s Era Moog Modular 9501, 9502, & 9505 Modules
Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
9501 VCO via these eBay listings
These appear to be Don Martin Moog modules. He owned the trademark in the US for a period of time before it went back to Bob Moog. He also made a Minimoog which became known as the Donimoog. Alex Winter owned the rights to Moog in the 90s in the UK, and produced the "Welsh Minimoog".
Descriptions from the listings:
"This listing is for one Moog Modular 9501 VCO module. This module is from the brief period of time Moog modules were being remade in the 90's. Check out the pictures to see the quality; this module looks to be missing a couple of the socketed components and a resistor (plus a few of the switches need to be soldered). I am unsure of the functionality as I do not own a Moog Modular to test it with but in general it looks great. The module still has plastic on the front panel. This module is sold untested and as-is."
"This listing is for one Moog Modular 9505 Reverberation Unit module. This module is from the brief period of time Moog modules were being remade in the 90's. Check out the pictures to see the state of the module. I am unsure of the functionality as I do not own a Moog Modular to test it with but in general it looks great. The module still has plastic on the front panel. This module is sold untested and as-is. "
"This listing is for one Moog Modular 9502 VCA module. This module is from the brief period of time Moog modules were being remade in the 90's. Check out the pictures to see the state of the module. I am unsure of the functionality as I do not own a Moog Modular to test it with but in general it looks great. The module still has plastic on the front panel. Eurorack drum tips feat. Winter Plankton Dassbrum & Zaps
video upload by Tom Churchill
"This is the first of two videos that I’m making about drums in Eurorack. In them, I’m going to combine some demos of specific modules with more general patching tips and techniques.
In this one, I'm focusing on two modules from Winter Plankton - a collaboration between Winter Modular and Plankton Electronics. I’m using Dassbrum, which is their all-new kick drum module, and Zaps, which has been around for a couple of years now.
I met the guys behind these modules at Machina Bristronica last year, and they’re kindly sponsoring this video. But rather than just doing straight-up sound demos, I thought this would be a good opportunity to dive a bit deeper into various approaches to making beats in a modular synth context."

Alan R. Pearlman Foundation Panel Discussion and Booth Events Coming to NAMM 2025
via The Alan R Pearlman Foundation
ALAN R. PEARLMAN FOUNDATION TEC TRACKS PANEL DISCUSSION AND BOOTH EVENTS AT THE 2025 WINTER NAMM SHOW
The Foundation promises an exciting event schedule in advance of Alan R. Pearlman’s centennial.
KINGSTON, NY, JANUARY 17, 2025– The Alan R. Pearlman Foundation has announced a series of exciting events during the 2025 Winter NAMM show, featuring a TEC Tracks session in conjunction with Korg, USA, featuring a distinguished panel of filmmakers, sound designers and composers discussing ARP's profound influence on movies, games and television. The session; Behind the Screen: ARP Synthesizers Impact on Sound Design in Film, TV, Gaming and More will take place on Thursday, January 23rd from 4PM to 5PM in Ballroom B at the Hilton Anaheim. Moderated by DJ Cherish the Luv, panelists include: Anthony Marinelli, Mark Isham, and Michael Stein.
In addition, the Foundation will be exhibiting at booth #10700, where we will have vintage instruments to play, host famed synthesist and composer Anthony Marinelli as well as other luminaries, and have short demos including a primer on integrating vintage (and modern) ARP synths into Eurorack modular systems.
ARP synthesizers have been woven into our storytelling tapestry for over half a century,” said Dina Pearlman-Ifil, ARP Foundation founder and daughter of Alan R. Pearlman. "We’re excited to inspire at NAMM with insights into my father’s genius from some very influential artists, and to go ‘behind the screens’ with the influential creators who put the endless potential of ARP synths into their work.”
The Foundation continues its work with contributors, collaborators, vendors, manufacturers, venues, and owners of rare original ARP synthesizers. Among their goals is the creation of installations where students can utilize ARP synthesizers as part of their music curriculum, and to explore the endless possibilities of electronic music.

And a message on the Los Angeles Wildfires:
"RESPONSE TO THE LOS ANGELES FIRES
The Alan R Pearlman Foundation acknowledges the horrors of the Los Angeles fires and would like to share a few words about this, and about our presence at the NAMM show.
We have been keeping close watch and staying in touch with our numerous friends, colleagues and family in Los Angeles. While it appears that Anaheim, the home of the NAMM Show, is safe from imminent danger, the impact that this tragedy inevitably has had, and will have, on our community of musicians, producers, film and recording professionals and friends cannot be downplayed.
Because Anaheim has been deemed as safe, we will be displaying at the NAMM Show in booth 10700. We hope to see many of you there and to learn more of how you’ve weathered these unprecedented circumstances, whether directly or through contact with those you know who have been impacted.
We salute the NAMM organization for their pledge of $50,000 to donate to the 2025 LA Wildfires Relieve Fund, and their encouragement of more contributions. (Read NAMM's President & CEO John Mlynczak statement.) We encourage everyone that is either going to NAMM or watching from afar to join us in supporting our music family who are being affected by these horrific events.
For those of our music family who are in need of gear from losses from the fires, please reach out to us and we will try to connect you with members of the industry who are helping musicians replenish their studios."

What is The Vanilla Synthesizer? It's Ready, That's What
via the STG Soundlabs/muSonics Electronic Newsletter:
Is it The Vanilla Synthesizer or the muSonics TVS?
I started working on this project a year and a half ago.
Originally my thought process was to make a new American format synthesiser that could be sold as modules, kits, and bare boards. I was concerned about the future of the format, and I felt a new line of basic modules and infrastructure at a variety of price points was important. I still do.
STG Soundlabs was a failure because I made things that ultimately the eurorack market simply did not want. Yes, I sold some, and will continue to maintain the line as best as I can, but it's very hard to find photos of eurorack installations with STG Soundlabs modules in them, but rare to find a nice big man-sized synthesiser without my modules in it.
Another thing I wanted to do was teach myself how to do my own engineering. It didn't start that way, but it became that way. I'd been a hardware product developer since 2005 but never actually laid out a circuit board. That is no longer true, and I've done things beyond this project that I haven't even talked about.
