"light of harmony newsletter July 2009

Greetings!

A bit late, oh well. I’ve been busy clearing out the order backlog and am almost finished (hooray!). Currently building the last of the Infernal Noise Machine preorders, and hope to be finished this week/early next week.

· I still have a few sets of INM PCBs remaining if anyone is interested. USD$666.00 + S&H.
Lead time 8-12 weeks, as I still have to finish the Quad Plague Bearers and get going on a few other things.

· Two group buys currently in the sign-up stage:

o Joysticks – It’s time again! This time, however, the purchase is of brand new joysticks from the manufacturer – not NOS (New Old Stock) units from a liquidator. Details can be found in the Muffwiggler forum thread.

o Jacks – I finally found them! I have been searching for 3.5mm mono NC-switched vertical PCB mount jacks with M6x0.5 threaded bushing since I started f(h), and finally found some with a panel-PCB height less than 15mm. They are only slightly larger in dimension to the ubiquitous Kobiconn 16PJ13x. I know that many others have also wanted this style and I am so stoked on finding these that I’m organizing a group buy at cost – USD$0.075 each (7.5¢). Details in the Muffwiggler forum thread. The MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) has already been met.

That’s enough for now, toodles.

Minihost

"MiniHost is a powerful and full-fledged ASIO host that loads a VST

MiniHost has been voted by the members of the KVR audio
community as the best free host of the year 2004! Details of the
KVR survey can be found here.

It offers many features that other hosts don't have, for example:
- arpeggiator, step-sequencer, CC gater, chordmaker included
- send MIDI data to VST plugins from external MIDI inputs, a resizable virtual MIDI
keyboard, the computer keyboard or MIDI files
- process live ASIO audio input or a WAV file
- record audio output to WAV (16 and 32 bit)
- browse through the presets
- powerful preset manager included, allows easy organisation of all presets
- preset randomizer with script support and mutate option
- drag n' drop support
- support for VST MIDI plugins that generate MIDI data
- much much more ..."

Malekko/Wiard NoiseRing

"Malekko is pleased to announce the next module in collaboration with Grant Richter of Wiard synthesizers.
This Malekko version is true to the original NoiseRing with the addition of a toggle that selects between EXT Rate in and Clock input. These are officially licensed from Grant and built by hand form the folks at Malekko.

"Strangelove updated version.
Only the intro was sampled from original, the other sounds were sampled /edited by myself, or belong to my library.

Played on a Emu Emax and a Yamaha DX7 II FD (Same setup used in MFTM tour).

Backtrack recorded in Pro Tools and Reason Rewired."
