YouTube via onephatcat "The ultra rare additive synth system. Ds250 has midi in out thru 2 channel multitimbral layering, chorus detune pitch bend. What makes this synth great? The ease of use for one thing. Seiko achieved something that the other additive synth makers missed: an easy method for creating complex evolving sounds. Essentially you create three sound spectra, assign one to the attack, one to the sustain, and one to the release phase, and then set the envelope time for the ADSR and you are done! Now other synths such as Kawai k5 & k5000s have serious fine control over the envelopes of the overtones, but in terms of gratification from sound creation, the Seiko kicks a**."
BTW, anyone know where to find a manual for the DS-250?

One real let down to me is the fact that when you engage the Brass you kill all sustaining of the strings and it all operates on the short preset release time. In this video Bob Weigel of Sound Doctorin' shows how to install a couple switches that allow you to select between factory default, brass envelope only extended and brass and string. The attack of the string is compromised because of the way that is done on the performer but I find that this mode gives a wide new range of performance applications to the instrument."

"the psychotronic generator is a circuit bent atari punk console built by coloringpad housed in a case featuring the artwork of paul laffolely. amongst it's features are are the two main knobs, a cross mod, a battery sag, two led distortion knobs, and 3 photoresistors mounted inside of a pulsating light. The recording here does not do the sonic mayhem justice, and on top of everything, the entire atari punk side of the device is one side of a ring modulator, which allows any input to combine its sound with this machine. for more, visit coloringpad.blogspot.com"

"Hey guys, chill... you may think the QMMG is enormous, judging from the Modular Planner and whatnot, but it's really... not. And you get four vcas, four filters with var. res, four distortions and a mixer in that space, FFS! ;-)"
