2010 Bob Moog Foundation Calendar

In case you attempted to purchase a 2010 Bob Moog Foundation Calendar and were unable to, the calendar is now available for purchase on the Bob Moog Foundation online store. Details at my previous post.

Note: you'll find some groovy Ts and other swag at the online store as well. All great stocking stuffers!

Halloween Theremin Video Contest Update

You saw the vids here. Now it's time to vote. Via the Moog Music Mailing list:

"The deadline for posting videos has passed and the online poll has been set up on the Moog Music Forum. The entries are incredible. The outpouring of talent and imagination that went into the making of these videos is inspiring. Our deepest thanks go out to all the contestants.

On Monday, November 30, at 12:00 pm EST, the video with the most votes in the poll will be the 1st prize winner. At that time, the judges will also check to see which video has the highest number of views on YouTube. The video with the highest number will be the 2nd prize winner. If a video wins the poll and has the highest number of views, the lucky winner will receive both prizes!

Even though it's too late to post a video, you can still participate in the contest.

Go to the YouTube Playlist and watch the contest videos.

Go to the Moog Music Forum. Register for the forum, if you are not already a member, and vote for the video that you feel is the best. [note you can see who's winning in that link]

"Did you all know that the Launchpad has a secret Space Invaders mode? Well it doesn't! This is a midi clip I programed so when I'm not pushing buttons on the launchpad it looks cool, sort of like an idle mode. If anybody wants the clip email or pm me."

"This amazing synth bass controller features an ash body, a maple neck with a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard, a stabilizer bar, a polycarbonate nut, two single-coil pickups, a Roland synth pickup in front of the bridge, an adjustable Roland bridge, and chrome hardware. It also has a master volume knob, a cutoff frequency knob, an edit knob, a pickup balance knob, a guitar tone knob, a balance knob, an LFO modulation knob, and a mode switch.
