Making MFOS Sequencer frames.

YouTube via akorbeti
"A sequence of the making of a sequencer. A meta-sequence. Each component placed on the beat, is another frame on the pic sequence. It starts with some components pre-soldered. This sequencer is built to be shown on http://www.synthfrog.com"

Happy Thanksgiving and Holiday Sales

This post is a day late. I wasn't planning on putting up a Thanksgiving Day post but I figure why not. I hope everyone that celebrates the holiday had a great one. The day after Thanksgiving here in the US is known as Black Friday, which is considered to be one of the biggest days for discount shopping. People will line up in front of stores at ungodly hours just to get a deal. Well, fortunately we don't have to. If you haven't already, I encourage you to check out the MANUFACTURERS section on the right of this site. You will find a number of sales going on right now. Click on each image and check out what they are offering. I also created a "Stocking Stuffers" label below on interesting deals at reasonable prices. BTW, if you have any Stocking Stuffer posts or see that I missed the label for an appropriate post, let me know.

Heavy Wood: LUNAR ECLIPSE of the MOON (Eclipse of the Keyboard)

YouTube via FlametopFred
"Music in celebration of the lunar eclipse. A beautiful hour spent on the back porch watching the moon dance across the sky as light and dark played across her face.

Likewise watch my arm eclipse the keyboards of the wonderful Yamaha D-85 while playing the Kurzweil K2000 mounted above."

analog VS digital FM

via Tal:
"a couple of years ago I created a track using 64 instances of Native Instruments' FM7 (it was mainly to practice my FM skills) and now I recreated every sound using my analog synths. (I mainly used DSI Evolver, Prophet '08, Roland Jupiter 6 and SH101).

There's a site that lets you play 2 youtube videos at the same time, with a crossfader for the audio, so I uploaded the two tracks and since their timing is identical, you can switch back and fourth to hear the difference between analog and digital. I just thought that it's something that might be suitable for an item on Matrixsynth... check it out"

Anyone know how to launch the two videos in sync?
