Recording a splash of Persephone for White Willow
YouTube via RothHandle
"My son Vincent woke me me up at 5:40 this morning so things have been a bit weird today in the studio. I started the day working on a Nanook track..adding some percussive noises and then burning files for the mix on Monday next week. After that I messed around with the Tenori on Molesome track I found last week and added a horrible DR-220e crash cymbal and sorted out the maracas...And then after that I started turning the White willow track Red Leaves upside down and inside out...So..a lot of yawning, not so much coffee and actually a fair amount of recording.
I know...I have been recording a lot of persephone lately...but I cant help myself. Everything sounds better with a soaring Persephone line on top...
This film was recorded at Roth Händle studos in Stockholm, Sweden. This is where I spend my days recording and producing artists...The studio started in my apartment and evolved slowly from there. This is the forth location of the studio. The first one obviously was at home...the second and third was at a abandoned shipyard outside of Stockholm. The studio works more or less in two ways either the artists come here to the studio or people send files that I work with...If you are curious to find out more about the studio please visit www.roth-handle.nu for more info, blogs and odd facts. Oh yes and now I am on facebook too with a dedicated roth händle site...I dont know how to link to it but you people are all so internet smart so you can find...if you want to.
Thanks for watching,"

Waldorf Blofeld Sound Trip

"Demo of Waldorf Blofeld. Sounds+ music by WC Olo Garb. Crapolla audio + noise by YouTube.
Here's what you can do:
1.download the audio file:
http://www.filefactory.com/file/b06c6...
2.wait for the video clip to load until full, mute it
3.play the audio file in which you will hear a 4/4 sequence of beeps, each quarter with quicker progression for convenience
4.press the play button on the video clip but not release it [hold mouse button depressed]
5.get into the groove of the beeps
6.release the mouse/play button of the video clip at the end of the sequence (=a beep with the note other than all beeps preceeding it).
The video must begin playing at the very precise moment of the last beep sounding.
Believe you me, there is a difference."

circuit bent yamaha mu5

Note this is the one from these videos.
dsi evolver + circuit bent yamaha mu5 by spunkytoofers
"the above audio is a dsi evolver and dark age tone generator being played simultaneously by an akai ewi4000s wind controller. it's played in real time and recorded direct with no processing. solo mu5 sounds only at 2:45 and on.
mu5 is in excellent cosmetic and functional condition. looks as if it was used very little if at all. i've tested every function and it's 100 percent. these are very rare devices and will only be offering this one on sale on ebay and one is kept for myself, because it's that good. if you want this, this will be your only opportunity to buy this as i can't guarantee i'll come across these again or on any regular basis. because of it's rarity i've reconfigured the bends several times after completing the device. it was really important to readdress the bends to give it the best this device has to offer due to it's rarity and excellent capabilities. needless to say i'm very pleased with the results and i haven't been able to put the device down!!! the item comes with a warranty for as long as i'm in buisness and able!
features:
-smallest hardware midi tone module ever. features: onboard playable interface with over 10 chromatic octaves. 16 channel multi-timbral support over midi including fast midi resolution timing, flexible channel setups, panning, and more!
-onboard playing allows you to use this as a 10 octave midi controller (transits fixed velocity, recieves variable velocity) as well as dual level of control onboard and midi at the same time either for stacked polyphony or multi-timbral madness.
-21 bends on switches. provides all kinds of aliasing, bit crushing effects, stutter, glitch fx, cutups and loops, odd synthesis. the configuration allows maximum flexibility and will provide the user with a vast depth of sound creation possibilities. all bends are 100 percent stable.
-switch provides original clock frequency or sample rate control of 3 octaves on any given note or chord played. injected clock provided by ultra stable getlofi 1799 oscillator. oscillator tuned for maximum stability.
-extention box bolted directly to mu5 chasis
-switch rows are indexed so it facilitates bending interface
-vintage glass lens with brite white light led lighting
-rubber feet added to balance and provide skid free control on flat surfaces.
-outputs audio on stereo 1/8" jack
-midi in/out
-pdf manual and bend diagram emailed to winner
-items comes with fast priority mail or ups shipping with full insurance and tracking
the smallest and most flexible multi-timbral circuit bent hardware module ever made. this crams a deep bent interface that will keep you busy with a wealth of new sounds and 100 percent stability. as much was crammed onboard and kept to a minimal size keeping in mind the portable aesthetic of these devices.as stated before i've readdressed the bends several times and have not slacked in this department. all bends have been readdressed for maximum stability, flexibility and best configuration."

Free Samples via Zero Divide
http://audio-kinetic.iswiz.com/stuff/korger1.zip
Made these just before I sold my Korg ER-1. They aren't properly cut up, unfortunately, but it isn't like it isn't hard to slice them down to size. This is just a bunch of sounds I synthesized to try to cover all of the possibilities that this machine had to offer.
http://audio-kinetic.iswiz.com/stuff/kraftydrums.zip
Did these up last night using the MFB Kraftzwerg to synthesize drums and such from scratch. I did cut out the silences on these and normalized, however it should be noted that on a couple of these I ran the input on the MPC just a teensy bit too hot, so a couple of the samples distort a tiny bit (though it's actually a nice effect on the kicks.)
http://audio-kinetic.iswiz.com/stuff/mfb522.zip
MFB 522. There's not much here as I was sampling these so that I could experiment with different processing methods, but this is a nice little simple drum kit here.
http://audio-kinetic.iswiz.com/stuff/rolandmc09.zip
These are all of the drum sounds from the Roland MC-09. There's a few repeats in here because the kits are made up from a small pool of samples and I was just flying through getting all of the kits sampled. I don't think I've chopped these up either.

Inspired by Wave Alchemy's collection, here's a small selection of Future Retro XS drums. Not nearly as varied as the Wave Alchemy set, but still a good demonstration for myself as to the capabilities of this unit.
http://audio-kinetic.iswiz.com/stuff/jomoxmbase01.zip
This is all of the preset sounds and a couple of sounds I built of my own for the Jomox MBase01.
http://audio-kinetic.iswiz.com/stuff/dr550mkii.zip
Complete collection of all of the drum sounds on the Boss DR-550mkii. (A lot of the sample sets floating around on the interwebs don't have all of the sounds in them.)

And this is just a quick little goof-off thing with my Dot Com system doing a couple of basic drum sounds.
Update via Zero Divide:
here's another MFB 522 bank:
http://audio-kinetic.iswiz.com/stuff/mfb522.zip
The difference between this bank and the last bank is that for this one, I went through and sampled every sound with the knobs at five different positions. Obviously due to the nature of analog, this doesn't cover ever single possible sound that the 522 can do, but it still covers a lot of territory. I didn't go through and trim it up because doing it manually would have taken way more time than what I was willing to give to something I would end up giving away for free, and doing it with like Wave Trim or the like seems to cut off the tails in a lot of cases.
http://audio-kinetic.iswiz.com/stuff/schlagzwerg.zip
Initially with this one, I was setting out to do like I did with the 522 and try to get nearly every possible sound out of it. Since it shares the same hats/cymbal circuit as the 522, that means that I only have to get the kick, tom, and snare section. Trouble is that the Schlagzwerg has a much greater range than what the 522 has, so I'd have to sample all of the knobs at seven positions instead of just five in order to cover it all. Three hours and 550-ish samples later, I stopped and did the math and realized that for seven positions of every knob and five knobs for the kick, I'd need over 16,000 samples just to cover all that the kick can do. Lesson learned: Plan ahead! So, I deleted all of those samples and just made a smaller collection highlighting what is possible with the Schlagzwerg. The 'FX' bank is what the Schlagzwerg is capable of when you get crazy with the patch cables."

DSI TETR4: Advanced Features
YouTube via HeresJamesPrice
"This is a short demonstration of the extra features of the Tetra they don't mention in the manual or on the Dave Smith Instruments web site.
Note: These things will surely be changed in the future. If you were thinking of getting this instrument before you watched this video, don't change your mind. It's really awesome, for real."
