YouTube via RothHandle "My son Vincent woke me me up at 5:40 this morning so things have been a bit weird today in the studio. I started the day working on a Nanook track..adding some percussive noises and then burning files for the mix on Monday next week. After that I messed around with the Tenori on Molesome track I found last week and added a horrible DR-220e crash cymbal and sorted out the maracas...And then after that I started turning the White willow track Red Leaves upside down and inside out...So..a lot of yawning, not so much coffee and actually a fair amount of recording.
I know...I have been recording a lot of persephone lately...but I cant help myself. Everything sounds better with a soaring Persephone line on top...
This film was recorded at Roth Händle studos in Stockholm, Sweden. This is where I spend my days recording and producing artists...The studio started in my apartment and evolved slowly from there. This is the forth location of the studio. The first one obviously was at home...the second and third was at a abandoned shipyard outside of Stockholm. Adding Korg Mono Poly arpeggios to the White Willow track
"the above audio is a dsi evolver and dark age tone generator being played simultaneously by an akai ewi4000s wind controller. it's played in real time and recorded direct with no processing. solo mu5 sounds only at 2:45 and on.
mu5 is in excellent cosmetic and functional condition. looks as if it was used very little if at all. i've tested every function and it's 100 percent. these are very rare devices and will only be offering this one on sale on ebay and one is kept for myself, because it's that good. if you want this, this will be your only opportunity to buy this as i can't guarantee i'll come across these again or on any regular basis. because of it's rarity i've reconfigured the bends several times after completing the device. it was really important to readdress the bends to give it the best this device has to offer due to it's rarity and excellent capabilities. needless to say i'm very pleased with the results and i haven't been able to put the device down!!! the item comes with a warranty for as long as i'm in buisness and able!

I did cut out the silences on these and normalized, however it should be noted that on a couple of these I ran the input on the MPC just a teensy bit too hot, so a couple of the samples distort a tiny bit (though it's actually a nice effect on the kicks.)

http://audio-kinetic.iswiz.com/stuff/mfb522.zip The difference between this bank and the last bank is that for this one, I went through and sampled every sound with the knobs at five different positions. Obviously due to the nature of analog, this doesn't cover ever single possible sound that the 522 can do, but it still covers a lot of territory. I didn't go through and trim it up because doing it manually would have taken way more time than what I was willing to give to something I would end up giving away for free, and doing it with like Wave Trim or the like seems to cut off the tails in a lot of cases.

Since it shares the same hats/cymbal circuit as the 522, that means that I only have to get the kick, tom, and snare section. Trouble is that the Schlagzwerg has a much greater range than what the 522 has, so I'd have to sample all of the knobs at seven positions instead of just five in order to cover it all. Three hours and 550-ish samples later, I stopped and did the math and realized that for seven positions of every knob and five knobs for the kick, I'd need over 16,000 samples just to cover all that the kick can do. Lesson learned: Plan ahead! So, I deleted all of those samples and just made a smaller collection highlighting what is possible with the Schlagzwerg. The 'FX' bank is what the Schlagzwerg is capable of when you get crazy with the patch cables."
