DIY Modular synth demo
YouTube via Crashlander42 — May 06, 2010 — "A demo of some newer modules. The first patch is a sequential switch cycling through the outputs of 2 XRVCOs and then fed to a MS20 VCF. The second is a PAIA vocoder being fed a PWM pulse from my SN Voice and the drums from an Electribe. The third is a VCO into a resonant LPG being controlled by an electric druid ADSR and a sequential switch with 2 Electric Druid LFOs."

greightbit commodore 64 slick stick synth diy lofi noise box
via this auction
YouTube via greightbit — May 06, 2010 — "i fashioned a good ole 555 timer 8 voice synth into a commodore 64 slick stick casing... i added a pitch knob to give it that true mechanical mayhem sound, an 1/4" mono output so you can boost the spit out of it or run it through effects. it makes great 8 bitty lofi sounds. thanks
.o, i put an on/off switch to save battery life... runs on a internally housed 9v battery
... super small and light weight and a great addition to the live set."
Akai MPC 60 mk1 boom bap beat
YouTube via michal23pl — May 06, 2010 — "one of my oldschool beats created on mpc 60. this is a direct sound straight from mpc. no external effects or any editing. all sounds are extracted and chopped from vinyl records in a classic pitched-down 45rpm method to get that sweet nasty crunch;) hope you'll enjoy it."
YouHero - rehearsal of Palle Dahlstedt's "Short Term Memory"
YouTube via otoskope — May 06, 2010 — "Katarina Widell and Patrik Karlsson rehearse Palle Dahlstedt's piece Short Term Memory - Game Piece for Game Guitar.
YouHero is a project to turn the passive "musicianship" of a Guitar Hero player into something more creative - a real instrument using the Guitar Hero guitar as a controller. The guitar is connected directly to a laptop, running a custom software designed and programmed by Palle Dahlstedt, implemented in MaxMSP, Java and SynthMaker.
The YouHero project will tour around Sweden in 2010, on concert stages and in schools, encouraging kids to create their own music for this new instrument.

The premiere took place May 5th, 2010 at Pusterviksbaren, Göteborg, Sweden, and this is a rehearsal for that concert, filmed at Element Studio."

electro-music 2010 festival
via Greg Waltzer on Facebook.
"Anyone can participate in electro-music 2010 by joining the jam sessions, giving a demonstration, or volunteering to help with various tasks.
The electro-music festival provides a unique opportunity for musicians and electronic artists to present or perform their material for an enthusiastic and supportive audience. To give a musical or visual performance, presentation, seminar, or workshop follow the instructions below. The deadline for submissions is May 31. Submissions received after that time will be added to the waiting list. If there are any cancellations, artists may be selected from the waiting list.
Everyone who attends the festival will need to purchase tickets, including performing artists and volunteers. We regret that we cannot provide compensation for artists, or pay for travel expenses. Ticket packages with food and lodging are available. We strongly encourage full participation: plan to attend for all three days to support your fellow artists and to contribute to the sense of community. This makes the event more enjoyable for everyone. Highest priority for performance spots will go to artists who are fully involved.
1. Send an email here notifying us of your desire to participate in electro-music 2010 (don't erase the subject - that's how we know that you have read this page.)
2. Let us know the artist name under which you will perform. If you are part of a group, include the number and names of the other members who will be attending.
3. If you wish to perform a musical set, please send us an example of your music, or a link to a sample that we can download or listen to. (If you played at a previous electro-music festival, you can skip this step, unless you have new material that you would like us to hear.)
4. If you want to give a presentation, demo etc. give us a short description of your topic.
5. Let us know if you have any special requirements for equipment, staging, or setup time. (There will be a PA system, microphone, and projector in each room.)
6. We cannot promise specific time slots, but if you have schedule restrictions we will try to accommodate them. Please realize that if your availability is too restrictive, you may reduce your chance of being selected.
7. If you have physical materials for us to review (CDs, DVDs, press kit) send to the following address:
electro-music 2010
Attention: H. Moscovitz

9. We will notify everyone about their status by June 15 (accepted, waiting list, or not accepted.)
10. After being accepted, you must confirm that you will be attending."

Blacet Mini Wave Available in "board level only" Kit Form
via the Blacet newsletter:
"I've been getting a lot of requests for the Mini Wave from folks who want to make their own front panel to match a DIY or different format.
I've added two "board level only" options: one without the front panel, jacks, pots, knobs and one with the pots and knobs included.
All other parts and manual are included as with the complete kit.
Note that we can do repair work only on complete kits, so these partial kits are for serious and technically competent builders.
