"You are looking at a NEC XR385 MIDI daughterboard. A wave-table synthesis upgrade for the world's most popular sound cards. XR385 is YAMAHA DB60XG OEM. Actually they are same except the PCB logo prints on board (NEC logo on XR385 and YAMAHA logo on DB60XG). DB60XG is similar to DB50XG, just upgrade few effects.

Easy installation
Snaps easily and quickly onto any card with a WaveBlaster expansion port. Once you attach the DB50XG/DB60XG, you're ready to go. You don't even need to install any software.

Extensive Compatability
Upgrades your current sound card from FM to wavetable synthesis, a technology that produces drastically improved sound. Wavetable synthesis is the basis of virtually every professional music synthesizer. The DB50XG/DB60XG is compatible with the industry standard: General MIDI (GM). Every GM compatible DOS or Windows game and application will play beautifully on the DB50XG/DB60XG.

Exceptional Sound
Goes beyond General MIDI. It's the first daughter board with XG- a major technological advancement developed by Yamaha. XG allows significantly more voices than GM. I am using a Teezer TZ VCO, a dual 8038 VCO (pcb designed by Fonik), a Threeler VCF, two CGS/Serge VCS, an MFB sequencer, CGS DC mixer, three MFOS quantizers, and a Blacet Digital Pattern Generator.
I am using the LT trigger output from the tr-606 to clock the MFB sequencer. I will post the MP3 soon."
