Oberheim DMX - Drum Machine

via this auction

"Note that this a DMX, not a DX. The main difference (and the reason why the DMX is a classic, while the DX isn't) is that there's a Curtis analogue filter for EVERY sample card (the cards fill the left half of the DMX's innards, see pics). This rounds off the punchy 12-bit samples and, well, makes it sound the way it does. Which is punchy as hell... There are individual outs for each sound, too, so recording options are super-flexible (e.g., getting a dedicated reverb on the snare)."

Update via Synth Snight in the comments: "I'm not sure this is true. These schematics show a 3320 in the toms but I don't think there on every voice card.

Update via Kerry in the comments: "good ol' ebay hyperbole. actually, if I look closely at his picture of the voice cards, I see 1554B cards, which do NOT have even the sockets for the CEM3320 analog filter, the 1667's have the CEM analog filter (I'm looking at my DMX opened up right now) but I don't see any of those cards in that ebay unit!"

Oberheim SEM Vintage Analog Synthesizer Expander Module

via this auction

"Serial number is 0477. This is the complete stand alone SEM with the case and power supply."

MFB Synth-2 analog synthesizer

via this auction

Note the Vermona ER9 Drumexpander. Anyone ID the blue with wood sides next to the MFB and Vermona?

When researching Vermona remember there are two sites:
Vermona.com for new products
Vermona.de for old

Update: It's the original Radikal Technologies Spectralis next to the MFB and Vermona. via aba81102 in the comments.

Four Hands

YouTube via krakou2 — February 05, 2009 — "This piece was played on the Continuum using the new internal Eagan PluckString sound that is included in all Continuums. The internal sounds were prototyped using the Kyma system from Symbolic Sound, using the new Pacarana hardware. The internal sounds were then implemented in the Continuum's DSP by Lippold Haken. This piece was written for four hands and video layered for this performance.
