Industrial Sound Controllers
YouTube via makemagazine | July 29, 2010
"Tristan Shone rolled out the 'big guns' for Maker Faire Bay Area 2010. His Industrial Sound Controllers are a musical force to be reckoned with and their sheer size and weight demand considerable attention upon seeing them firsthand.
Tristan took a few moments out from setting up to speak with Becky Stern before performing, and explained some of the functionality of his very custom gear. For more on his unique brand of 'heavy metal', be sure to check out the interview in MAKE, Volume 22 and the how-to on building your own 8-mic MIDI controller -

passive ring modulator, feisty little one prototype
YouTube via lacolumnadurruti | July 29, 2010
"prototype of a passive ring modulator pedal we are working on at feisty little one.
this is kinda the bare-bones version.
first part of the video shows ring mod with casio as the input and a korg ms2000r as the carrier. next part is a guitar (with signal boost) as input and casio as carrier (small amount of carrier bleed is present). third part is boosted guitar going through boss dd-6 and into both inputs (modulating itself). last portion is vocals as input and casio as carrier.

Forced Feedback
YouTube via NetPierreTV | July 29, 2010
"Another NetPierre Live-jam, unrehearsed. at some point a bit full maybe ;) Yeah i know, it is far from perfect after re-listening... Sometimes it doesn't go the way you planned it, and having only two hands doesn't make it any easier too... Just having fun with some loops from my TB-303 plus 2 different loops from the Doepfer A-100 Modular system, Drums by the Elektron Machinedrum and Roland R8. Purely improvised, no FX, no editing - Captured Live on Ustream at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/NetPierre"

Note: I have a pretty strict rule that I only put up posts that let you get a feel for specific synths either visually or via audio. Synth music posts in general go up on MATRIXSYNTH-C. I'm making the exception for this one as Tom of The Chemical Brothers called out MATRIXSYNTH as the best synth site on the web back on the old Chemical Brothers site. See the exact quote on the right. This was back when MATRIXSYNTH just started. I had no idea he put that up until I ran across it. Pretty cool. Thank you Tom!!!
That and the green of course goes great with the site. :)
