Exactly two years ago this month, NR started working on our first track, "Doppelgänger". Though we'd met only six months earlier, we already knew we were doppelgängers.

In celebration of the two amazing years it's been since we wrote this song, here's a video of us performing it 2010-style. You might notice that "The Great" is looking a bit greater-- we just introduced a drum pad and two electric pianos to the arsenal!"

Roger Mayer on working with Jimi Hendrix

"Roger Mayer is the electrical engineer who developed several electric guitar effects, most notably the Octavia, an effects pedal which reproduced the input signal one octave higher, and mixes the two sounds with some added fuzz. The effect was popularized by Jimi Hendrix, and can be heard during the solos on the song 'Purple Haze'."

Tutorial: Vangelis Blade Runner Sound... on microKORG!

"Everybody loves the signature Vangelis sound. Very few have access to a Yamaha CS 80. Hence this tutorial!

UPDATE: Upon further tinkering I found out that you need some more resonance and possibly unison mode for Blade Runner (opening, the Blues is a whole different thing...).
