FOLKTEK glitch*BUG*

"This custom piece is part of a folktek series entitled "philanthropoid"". Known simply as the Bug series. Also in the series on the site and around the world is the Mantis, dronescape sequencer,the book of sound, the moth, the growling insect, the bug, the octa-hedra, walking stick, pendulum translator and others. The sound is phenomenol and continues to amaze us. It is a sonic symphony of nasty and grimy sweetness, endless layers of sound possibilities emenating from High quality OSC originally based on high tech speech synthesis. Seemingly random bits can be rediscovered time and time again and then there are those moments that you will most likely never rediscover. Endlessly captivating, this piece WILL provide sounds that you will not find in other synthesizers and will astonish you every time you turn it on.

You use it as you would any CAD program: you add elements, connect them together, and set their properties.
But iCircuit is unlike other CAD programs because it is always simulating. It's just like working with the real circuit. You do not stop to take a measurement or spend a lot of time configuring reports. Instead, you just play with the circuit as you normally would, with the power on!
There are over 30 elements you can use to build your circuits. The app has everything from simple resistors, to switches, to MOSFETS, to digital gates.
The app features a multimeter that you use to probe around the circuit to instantly read voltages and currents. If you want to see how a value changes over time, then you can add values to the built-in oscilloscope. The scope can simultaneously track many signals over time and features a touch interface to control the total time displayed and stacked and unstacked modes to easily compare signals.
Supported elements include:
* Signal generators, Voltage sources, and Current sources
* Resistors, Capacitors, and inductors
* Manual SPST/SPDT Switches, and SPST/SPDT relays
* Diodes, BJ Transistors, and MOSFETs
* Speakers, Buzzers, and LEDs
* ADCs, and DACs
* Logic gates: AND, OR, NAND, NOR, XOR
* JK and D Flip-flops
* Because iCircuit is a very CPU intensive application, it is recommended that you only use it on newer generation hardware including: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPads. However, it will still function on the older hardware."

This is a little VideoSong version of The Chase. We were thinking we were being hugely original but it turns out there's quite a few bands (Pomplamoose do it incredibly well) doing this on YouTube. So there's no miming. We videoed ourselves recording the parts and glued it all together. So what you hear is what you see and what you see is what you hear and ... etc etc

Roland TR-707 Circuit Bent Drum Machine
"professionally circuit bent by the guys at CircuitBenders.co.uk...
Listen to some MP3 examples of the sounds this beast can make!
http://www.circuitbenders.co.uk/drummachine/TR707.html
Here is a list of the additions:
18 Way 3.5mm Jack Patchbay
Connections made between sockets on the patchbay cause distortion, ring modulation, sound swapping, modulation and otherworldy alien effects to be applied to the sounds. Each 3.5mm patchbay socket is home to a certain audio process or effect which either combines with the effect from another socket when they are patched together, or sometimes just produces an entirely new effect you've never heard before. Multiple simultaneous connections may also combine in unexpected ways to produce a brand new unexpected effect, giving you a virtually unlimited number of warped alterations and audio mutations. The only limit on the number of connections you can make at any one time are how many sockets and patch cables you have available. Connections can be made at any time or even switched in and out using the patchable switches.
2 x 3 Way patchbay multipliers
These are the 2 sets of 3 sockets to the left of the cartridge port. They further multiply the creative possibilities of the machine by allowing you to connect more than one plug to the same patchbay source.
2 x 3 Way Distortion Switches
These switches on the top right of the machine offer four types of distortion from mild over-driven crunch up to all out electro grinding. Each switch also has an off setting in the centre. You may want to go easy on the top switch as the distortion available is absolutely brutal.
2 x Patchable Switches
Four plugs and two switches on the top left enable you to route a plug from the patchbay to one of these sockets and then from the adjacent socket back into the patchbay. This effectively allows you to find two patchbay settings you like and then turn them on and off at the flick of a switch without having to keep re-patching.
HiHat Decay Knobs
The knobs in the bottom right corner control the decay of the Open and Close Hats, giving you much more control over the hats in your performance.
Audio Input Socket
Last, but by no means least is the audio input jack socket on the right hand edge of the machine. When a plug is inserted, the Hi-Hat sound is removed from the mix and replaced with the audio input controlled by the Decay Knobds detailed above."

"a very different way to find sequencing w/o sequencers than the first. this one relied on a more traditional square/pulse/mixer set for notes. still dual vdo for voice."
"The Swarm" Free Noise Drone Synth

"It gets loud at moments, so watch your speaker volume : A demo of the new free standalone synth "The Swarm". Rather unique compared to most other free synths available (Mac too!). I really enjoy the deep tone. Inspired by Leon Dewan's "The Swarmatron". A good alternative for people who don't have several thousand dollars readily available. Obviously, this is no substitute for the real analog version but it does give the user a taste of the massive power of 8 Saws layered and detuned a bit from a central tone. Leon makes some of the most unique analog pieces around. Kontrolled by a Korg "NanoKontrol"
An impressive piece of code.
