Buchla 200e and Serge talk nicely to each other
via Bakis of Parallel Worlds. BTW, Ian Boddy & Parallel Worlds - Exit Strategy [announced here] comes out on May 31st. You can check it out here [Facebook here].
"hi all,
started working on some scapes for a new collab of mine recently and finally patched the Buchla 200e with the Serge.
my findings:
as a cv-source and for cv attenuation/mixing/offseting, Serge works really nice with the Buchla. i have lots of attenuators and cv processors in my Serge, so i use them with Buchla patches as well. they work fine!
Serge gates and triggers work fine triggering Buchla 281e, but you need to mult a serge gate/trigger into 2 inputs of a cv-processor (or 'dual processor' or 'Mix pro' or 'scale processor') AND add a little bit of voltage offset to the total. i guess that means that the serge gate/trigger then has a voltage level of around 12 volts. but that is the only way for the 281e to be triggered. but it works!
still have not tried audio between the two beasts, as the audio level in Buchla, being around 1 volt pp, is much lower than the Serge audio levels... when i have new findings regarding that issue will let you know.
so, for now, the verdict is that Serge and Buchla 200e talk really fine in terms of cv/gate/trigger's!"

Comments Not Working
Looks like the last comment to come in was on the 27th. I'm too busy posting to have noticed. Thanks goes to Subtronik for bringing this to my attention. I'm guessing it's a Blogger issue as I haven't changed anything since then and I was having trouble posting. I'll see what I can find out when I have time.
Some info on the issue here.
Update: "I set Blogger to post comments in the old comment format that brings you to a separate comments page. Personally I prefer comments underneath posts, but the old format is better than nothing. Hopefully the main comments list page will continue to work."

iPad Editor for Roland MKS-50/Alpha Juno Series

"I am happy to announce the initial release of my "ML-300", a rendition of the Roland PG-300 for MKS-50/ Alpha Juno Synths for the Missing Link!
This is for the iPad only, I am afraid, as that is all I have.
Please give it a try if you possess an MKS-50 or an Alpha Juno of some sort and let me know if you like it.
I will probably make some changes on request if I have time, but feel free to modify the template yourself, provide my original provenance is maintained.
Thanks for such a cool gadget - it's a lot of fun"
You can find the editor on the forum and mirrored here. Note that although the editor is mapped for The Missing Link, you should be able to edit it for CoreMIDI. The layout is done, it's just a matter of mapping the MIDI values in the TouchOSC editor.

"Tried out some experiments with the Pressurepoints + Brains combo tonight. Used a Doepfer Sequential switch to make a 24 step sequence. which is running into the A156 quantizer then into the uLFO's CV in.
Accent Trig out of the 808 to the RCD. division out into SCM.
Division out of RCD to Clock of the Brains, /8 out to the sequential switch. and a division out to the direction of the brians to spice it up a bit.
2 voices happening in the 12U.. the lead is a uLFO running pulse out w/ PWM via vulcan, to STG .VCA. from the vca it ran out to the Z2040 filter then to my mixer.
Bass Voice is Piston Honda w/ random wave rom (not sure which), to .vca then to SEM20 filter. Both Voices are being controlled via Maths. Maths is also feeding to the filters for CV on Cutoff. Lead Voice is going into the Doepfer Reverb
FX send on my mixer is the Bugbrand PT delay."
LABELS/MORE:
bubblesound,
BugBrand,
Doepfer,
Featured,
harvestman,
Make Noise,

"a mostly self playing patch. sadly, the end of the video got truncated. it was the best part. tried to re-shoot and it just didn't happen. ah-impermanence, you bastard.
anyway, this one is a dual vdo voice greatly enhanced by quad lfo in quadrature."
