Parts of music drifting in time delay
YouTube Uploaded by skoulaman on May 31, 2011
"After my music "Artic silence" (which had good comments) I decide to make more of this kind of music. It is the piano sound with a lot of time delay and from 2.45 the slow low sequence of the Doepfer and the high sequence from the Waldorf in combination with chords of the Roland and the Korg. Additional some solo of the fabelous Juno 106 The sequence is not prominent in this peace of music, that is the piano sound of a second hand Roland E15 keyboard which surprised me (I bought it second hand for 40 € at a flee market). I connected it with my Midiboard but the had to change the velocity curve (one of the funtions of the Midiboard).
Enjoy the peacefulness and relaxing sound.
greetings Skoulaman"
The Kurzweil Midiboard is one of the few keyboards with polyphonic aftertouch.
"You and me" - on Technics SX-C600
YouTube Uploaded by organfairy on May 31, 2011
"I don't know anything about this piece of music.
It is something I found on one of these compiled albums were some great hits are presented next to some not so great hits and some not at all great hits because the record company hopes that the fact that there are some great hits on the album cover then people will buy the album and listen to the great hits and let the record player continue playing some of the not so great and not at all great hits and eventually the not so great and not at all great hits will end up becoming great hits.
The singer who recorded this song in the late 1970's was named Tore Sørensen - or just Tore - and the it was written by Mikael Jørgensen and John Burgham. I don't know anything about those either. But it was one of those songs that I liked the first time I heard it and decided it could be interesting to make an organ version.
Most of the arrangement is played on the Technics SX-C600 organ while the sax solo is played on the Yamaha PSS-12. The Roland SH-2000 also played a small part in this.
I recorded it back in 2005 on analogue tape (sorry about the tape noise). And I had wanted to make a video for quite a while. I had bought a pinspot and mirror ball an even longer while ago and after finally pulling myself together to get it up and running I thought it was a good occation to use it in this video."
