IDOW & MATRIXSYNTH Modular Pic of the Week - Week 19 Contest Winner!

"Our nineteenth winner of the Modular Pic of the Week contest goes to Jens Hellwig for his untitled photo of a Moog Model 15 clone.

Jens Hellwig is a German synth enthusiast whose love of modular synthesizers developed through the classic Berlin school of music. Recently he made one of his childhood dreams come true in purchasing a replica of the famous Moog Model 15 synthesizer from Club of the Knobs.

We'd like to give a big thanks and congratulations to Jens Hellwig for his submission! This is the 19th week of a 30-week contest, and we are looking forward to many more modular photo submissions, so please keep 'em coming! For details on how to submit and what you can win, see this post.

For more info on the upcoming 'I Dream of Wires' documentary, be sure to see the trailer and IndieGoGo fund raising campaign here.

See the IDOW label for all posts pertaining to the film including the weekly contest winners."

Malekko / Wiard Joystick Axis Generator (JAG)

YouTube Uploaded by bigcitymusic on Feb 29, 2012

"Here we are checking out the super-awesome Malekko / Wiard Joystick Axis Generator, or JAG. There are four different drone tones running into the four inputs of a 4ms VCA Matrix, using two outputs summed to our Eventide Space reverb pedal. We're opening the eight(!) VCA's with the JAG being controlled by an Analogue Systems rs220 joystick module. Sweet!

NOTE: Do not watch this video while under medication."
