Ableton Synced Z8000 and modular

YouTube Uploaded by MrVonmi on Jun 13, 2011

"Clock from Ableton to 4ms RCD. Two divisions goes to the Z8000. Drum track is a MIDI track running in Live playng my drum modules through the ASol MT-9. The Addac's envelope out is modulating the cutoff of the MFOS filter who is processing his audio. Then it goes into the Z-Dsp with Dragonfly Delay (Mono delay with lopass). At a certain point i put an XR-Vco's square wave into the clock input of the Z-Dsp for some lo-fi degradation"

"In this video i 'split' the Mutamix, using the first 4 channels for cvs and the last two for audio, i left the audio ones always on, while the cv channels are the ones who have been mute-sequenced."

telePort - A Visualized Set (Tutorial 16 : What You Have Learned)

YouTube Published on Apr 18, 2012 by dubbilan

"telePort is a live performance oriented music program available as a free prototype at http://www.juvul.com

This particular video is a live demonstration of one possible way of playing the set that is built from scratch during Tutorial 1 - 15!

It lets you integrate hardware and software instruments as one advanced combined, programmable and morphable instrument. Bringing a modular approach to (augmented) sequencing and mixing while at the same making it easy switching between completely different songs/tracks or changing the modules up independently as the music is playing. The goal being creating a very flexible music system where you can have a whole set, not just a song, at your fingertips and improvise or play structured parts based on rules you define freely."

JONO Software Musical Instrument Inspired by Modulars

"JONO is a software musical instrument inspired by modular synthesizers. By providing mixture of classical and experimental elements it can serve as an interesting addition to your setup or as a standalone tool."

The sound starts with pair of oscillators, modulated by the layered LFO and the sequencer. Each oscillator has a couple of ranges and waveshapes, but the real treat is the LFO modulation, which allows you to mix three different LFOs into patterns and rhythms in a very simple yet powerful interface enhanced by the oscilloscope.

The mix of these oscillators passes through the state-variable filter, which is modulated by yet another layered LFO, offering three standard filter functions - lowpass, highpass and bandpass.

At the end of the signal chain you can find a stereo echo and a recorder - for recording short bits of your work right away, without connecting additional software.

The sequencer works as you expect it to - providing control over the amount of steps, variable loop length and the speed for each sequence (two sequencers for two oscillators).."
