"This is the earlier model and is capable of duophonic (the two oscillators can be played separately) and each oscillator has a separate S/H feature, but it is not an SRM version because it doesn't have SRM written on the back and also looks different from the SRM (i.e. no LFO delay in the ADSR section, different knobs, etc.)."

Electronics Are Beatufil - Doepfer A-100 ONLY

YouTube Published on May 13, 2012 by grauoliv

"the track is completely made with a doepfer a-100 basic system 2, sound by sound patched and recorded. actually it's a cover version. the original is by my friend Michael aka NU FOLDA. I once compiled some good electronic music tracks together for him and called that compilation ELECTRONICS ARE BEAUTIFUL. that inspired him to make a tune and call it the same! it developped into some kind of ping pong, each of us made several variations from that tune. The pictures show my A-100 system and musical gear, otherwise stated.

Four minutes for filtered white noise and shortwave radio

Four minutes for filtered white noise and shortwave radio from Giorgio Sancristoforo on Vimeo.

"A shortwave radio scans through North-African, Chinese, Russian, French, English and German channels, the output is then forwarded to the Buchla. Inside the synthesizer a white noise is processed with three narrow bandwidth band pass filters connected in serial configuration so to obtain quasi-sinusoids sounds. Both the sources are further processed with a balanced modulator and a frequency shifter and stochastically controlled by the Source of Uncertainty 266e module.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the mom's out there! This post is dedicated to you.

Pictured is my wife's favorite synth, the Clavia Nord Lead, and a candle from our daughter. You'll also spot a Quasimidi Polymorph, OTO Biscuit and PAiA Fatman in the background.

My wife actually bought me the Nord Lead years ago. ;) She is a great wife, mother, and friend.

Oberheim Echoplex Prime: EDP Prototype

"This is a not-really-functional Echoplex I bought on ebay, thinking i could fix it and use it. I'm pretty sure this was the original test prototype due to the socketed resistors and other passives. if this had been built for software testing to be sent out the rework would have been soldered in place and most likely be neater.

I'm not sure if i could even trust this outside of the studio even if i did get it working, so i'm now the proud owner of a piece of looping history (which also serves as an elaborate paperweight.)"
