'ANALOG ANTI-DRUM' Synthesizer Drum Machine

"Up for auction - A very Special piece of real Analog (analogue) audio technology. Based on the very rare 'Beat Sound Electronic Drum', the original device has been extensively Modded, Circuit Bent & Augmented with some serious new Circuitry to expand the machine into the realms of professional Analog Drum Synthesizers and way beyond....

There is some minor damage to the plastic case of this machine, which has been carefully & permanently repaired. See pics at the bottom of the auction.

The 'Beat Sound Electronic Drum' is often referred to as the Lo-Fi Tr-909 - Certainly the machine is quite capable of producing Phat Booming TR-909 like Analog Drums, but it also has it's own very distinctive sound, oozing Lo-Fi character and Charm. The Analog 'Phaser' channel produces a whole range of Dub / Disco / Techno sounds which are entirely UN-explored by any vintage Roland Gear.

I love these fabulous little machines, which is why I own four of them. I spent about a year making this particular unit, gradually adding new mods and tweaking others to achieve just the right sound. I've since made three others following this design, and so am passing this one on (and keeping the others)....

The 'Analog Anti-Drum' is a genuine Analog Drum synthesizer, with 4 x Analog Drum Channels, Velocity Sensitive Pads and Rubber Tipped Drum Sticks that are attached underneath the machine.

It is possibly the coolest looking Drum Synth in the world, and looks suspiciously like a piece of Alien Technology (perhaps from the 'Predator' Movies). However, this machine is all about the Lovely Analog Sounds, and live hands-on controls.

In it's Standard configuration the 'Analog Anti-Drum' will act as a respectable Analog Drum Synthesizer, with various controls and drum pads that will respond differently depending on how hard they're hit. When combined with the various new circuitry and tweaked, the machine will operated more like an Analog Synth, with 4 x Oscillators that can be tweaked, Modulated, Effected, Distorted, Cut & Dropped on command.

I'm currently working on a demo video, should have it here within a day or two. In the meantime, HERE is a quick recent vid using 'Analog Anti-Drums'.

HERE is the Original video I made for the machine some years back (note - I've replaced / Up-Graded the Amp Circuits since making this video)."

"As I had more devices to sync it seemed things got worse and worse to the point where I had to stop using a certain DAW. I dealt with it for years, tweaking things to a usable state. It was only recently that I had a session where my Roland TR-808 clocked my modular that I really had a “holy s**t!” moment. I realized that moving things around in a DAW will just never yield the proper result. To have perfect sync just glues all the elements together in an amazing way..."

Many consider Berlin to be the birthplace of the 1970's electronic music movement that has proved so influential to the development of a myriad of electronica musicians, both past and present. So when Boddy got the opportunity to play an experimental set at the Electricity series of concerts held in the Lichtblick-Kino in this famous city, he jumped at the chance.

"Programmable auto accompaniment type of synth/drum machine thing. You can program drums, bass, and solo synth leads. String and organ section are poly. I love the strings! Weird, rare, Italian. Just a little demo with midi coming from Ableton + some reverb and delay."

Hammond 102100 Mono Synth Test

YouTube Published on Jul 26, 2012 by Airabrab

"Hammond 102100 for sale. 100% functional. Very very rare. Supposedly only 200 were ever produced, probably less than 50 in working condition. This video just shows me running through all the keys, switching the presets as I go along. There are six presets. French Horn, Tuba, Violin, Sax, Clarinet, Solar Echo. I press each button on the programming matrix and run through that to show that they all work. The matrix has sections for the following functions: Waveform, octave, Filter, Cutoff, Filter Modulation, Envelope, Attack Speed, VCA envelope release, pitch modulation, and vibrato contact delay. Finally I show the wind, volume, and tuning functions work. Each button is numbered, so actually remembering a preset is quite easy. You just write down the 7 digit number of all the buttons that were depressed. Just a super basic demo to assure that everything is working. Thanks!"
