'Carrion' is a live electronic improvisation that feeds the audio into an 8 channel surround sound system. The movement of the sound in space is controlled algorithmically, and complements the gestural motions of the synthesized sound.

'An Evening with Hindole Majumdar and Kevin Schlei' was a concert on August 19th, 2012 that explored electronics + tabla. I am using my iPad instrument TC-11 with three iPads, and Hindole is playing his D tabla set with an extra E dayan. DSI Evolver Signal Path Tattoo

"I really wanted a music related tattoo, but I was not happy with getting an instrument or a band, and then I thought the signal flow of my favorite synth would have to be my next tattoo, my band (vircon) owns a total of three evolvers and I simply cannot write music without my evolver. Prior to getting the keyboard I always had a bit of trouble understanding the signal flow on the desktop version, so this was a constant reference image I used when programming patches. The evolver is more a part of me than any other material possession I own, it just made sense. I got it done at Royalty Tattoo in Northport by Amalia, she was maniacal with the placement, the technique and her ability to do these lines straight and parallel. There is absolutely nothing better then working with a perfectionist when getting something that lasts a lifetime.
