SVF-201 Analogue State Variable Filter Module

Published on Oct 12, 2012 by KOMA Elektronik

"The KOMA Elektronik SVF-201 is a state variable filter for the Eurorack modular synthesizer system. Its filter circuit is built up with optical parts (Vactrols) therefor delivering excellent studio audio quality and an unique warm analogue sound. The module uses parallel mounted PCBs so it can be used in skiffs as well as in big cases, the total depth is less than 4 cm.

The unit comprises 4 audio outputs that can be used independently of each other at the same time, a High Pass, Band Pass, Low Pass and the unique first ever CV'able Mix Pass out. The Mix Pass out let's you sweep continuously through the other three outputs by means of a knob and control voltage.

ポイントはマイクに息を吹きかけた音を録音する事です。
ピンクノイズから生成した音とミックスしてランダム感を出しています。"

The point is that you want to record the sound that blew into the microphone.
I get a sense randomly mixed with the sound generated from the pink noise. '"

Hallucination

"Once again I find myself indulging in some retro dark soundtrack work. This time the opening credit theme for the sci-fi film I never made. A slowly evolving track that I wanted to play live and keep simple and raw.

Everything is played/sequenced live and is entirely analog except for the drums and built-in Andromeda FX.

Annotated as usual to keep me entertained and provide some info.

Synth nerd details:
- Electribe is clocking the Moon M569 sequencer through a M553 MIDI-to-Clock converter and M554 Clock Divider. Sequencer is controlling a tomoberheim.com SEM. Row 1 are main notes, and row 2 transposes those notes.
- Controlling the modular with a Novation Remote 25SL into a Moon M551 MIDI-to-Voltage converter. 3 MacBeth MK1 oscillators with individual glide settings into MK1 'A' Filter.
- Recorded straight into Digital Performer using a MOTU 828 MK3 audio interface.
- Shot in HD with a Canon Rebel t4i. Put together in iMovie.

I hope you dig it."
