via the seller: "This ARP Odyssey is the 2nd version, the mark II, Model 2813. This model is of the "black face w/gold lettering" era. It has CV & GATE & TRIGGER inputs. 2 Syncable oscillators, a S & H circuit, resonant filter, external audio input for processing other instruments, 2 envelopes for the VCF and/or VCA or VCO mod. Essential subtractrive analogue synthesis.

NOTE: It has the Kenton Midi Modification that allows a midi based performance controller to trigger notes as well...so if you have a FutureRetro, Sequencer, etc via Midi you can use this as well. This is a 300 pound ($450US) modification plus labor that was paid...so a serious upgrade for a synth lover.

I've also included ONLY for BIN, a roadcase ($135 value) and the chips that are no longer available to do the Filter Mod as well. These go for 50 and 12 pounds respectively (so roughly $95 value).

The ARP Odyssey was big competition for the Minimoog - it's a much more flexible synth so you can get a lot more interesting sounds out of it.

This model is duophonic, so you can play 2 notes at once - each note using one of the 2 oscillators. Or, play it monophonically for a double oscillator layered sound.

The ARP Odyssey's a great synth - it offers some very impressive modulation options, oscillator sync, 2 vcos, sample and hold with selectable inputs and lag, noise source, LFO, great sounding resonant lowpass filter, highpass filter, VCA, ADSR envelope with autotriggering, CV and gate jacks for hookup to externals synths, sequencers or MIDI convertors.

Countless musicians used this model - most famous musicians of the late 70s and early 80s used these alongside their Minimoog and Fender Rhodes or Wurlitzer EPs. Compared to the Minimoog, it can make similar musical sounds but is better for sound effects and deep sounds, thanks to the additional features."

TAL Bassline 101 Track by SYNTHDemo

via SYNTHDemo: "I stuck together a demo of the new TAL commercial SH101 emulation, the track is musically 100% TAL Bassline 101 including drums, vocal samples have been added.

Some light compression on the drums and limiting on the master channel, all other FX used are by TAL, including the Chorus LX, Reverb ii, Dub delay ii and iii and finally Tal Tube for a little bit of tubey warmth on a couple of tracks. Overall I'm very impressed with the sound, having not had a real 101 I can't directly compare but I definitely feel like it has quite an organic and slightly rough sound, filter is very musical and in the 6 note poly mode, run through the Chorus LX it has a pleasingly Roland poly sound IMO, definitely brings to mind my Juno60.

Demo copy is available from Patrick at: http://kunz.corrupt.ch/products/tal-bassline-101 with the only demo restriction being no saving of patches."

Tiptop Audio Trigger Riot Patch Sheet

Granula Matter has an spreadsheet based Trigger Riot patch sheet. You'll find it here.

"I recently picked up the Tiptop Audio Trigger Riot which has been tons of fun and slightly confusing at first. There is so much happening under the hood that it is easy to get lost while adjusting parameters. In attempt to keep myself organized while fumbling around I came up with a simple patch sheet for jotting down ideas that would be easy to use."
