"This track was created using a Casiotone 501, Ibanez DM500 delay and an Inkel MX880E Mixer. Bit of a quicky this one as i've been too busy to do my weekly upload so i'm try to catchup!
Right, so here's the idea. Trying to write, upload and give away a fresh piece of music on a roughly weekly basis. Will i be able to keep it up? Will i run out of ideas? Can i be bothered? How shoddy will they be? Does anybody care? God knows. But that's the point.
Basically the idea is to flex my musical muscles a bit. I have collected quite a bit of gear over the years and not much of it is getting used as much as i'd like, so this is my attempt to justify all those purchases whilst practising improving and getting ideas down fast as an antidote to procrastination. "Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working." as Picasso once said.
Royalty free for you to use for whatever under the creative commons license. Just rip the audio out of the video for now, i'll get these tracks uploaded to a dropbox account when i get my act together. Let me know if you use it, i'd be stoked."

Sunday Afternoon Improv - Juno 60 & Vintage D
Published on Aug 25, 2013
"Juno 60 + Galaxy Vintage D and Omnisphere triggered by a PadKontrol pedal.
BEHOLD - my noisy Juno!
Apologies for the brittle bit-crushed sound quality. No idea why as it sounded ok in cubase. Must've forgotten to dither or something."

SELIDOR "Inconsequential Circuits" Modular Synthesizer
"This listing is for a Selidor 'Inconsequential Circuits' modular synthesizer system.
We are selling it on behalf of a professional composer who got it as a trade a long time ago and never used it. It has been kept in pretty rough storage and shows lots of deterioration.
This item is a One-of-kind system built as a pioneering prototype back in the very early eighties by UK engineer Roy Gwinn.
This item was a programmer for a huge Moog modular system as used and owned by Hans Zimmer and featured in the very first video on MTV, the Buggles "Video Killed the Radio Star"!
In Roys words:
'I can confirm that the equipment you see is from Hans Zimmer.
The box in the front is an extender for a Sequential Circuits Prophet 5. It is to run a Roland Microcomposer MC-8 into the Prophet. It is of no use without the modded Prophet it goes with. We called that box "Inconsequential Circuits". This is what you had to do in the days before MIDI. It was used on dozens of major tracks back in the early eighties.
It's not a standalone synthesiser; it's a programmer which saves and recalls knob positions and patching. It was pioneering work, but there isn't much use today for a system run on a single 8-bit Z80 at 2MHz, with a mere sixteen program stores.
I do think it's worth documenting and preserving for posterity, and I would be prepared to help (a bit) in that regard. I have extensive technical documentation in my archive. I could also put it in the context of what we were trying to do, where we succeeded, and where we failed.
There was only ever the one of these. It was very experimental and prototype.' -Roy Gwinn
We are selling it on behalf of a professional composer who got it as a trade a long time ago and never used it. It has been kept in pretty rough storage and shows lots of deterioration.
ACCESSORIES - Comes as pictured. This unit consists of FOUR large steel frame modular units and single desktop box.
PHYSICAL CONDITION - Poor. There are scratches, scuffs & marks that cannot be removed. The synthesizers show signs of heavy age & wear. There are several modules that appear to be missing. There is a considerable amount of oxidation.
WORKING CONDITION - Not working, obviously. Would be great museum piece worth restoring as a historical record of a pioneering piece of gear prior to MIDI and of course as part of the first video on MTV. Roy has offered the original circuit diagrams to help facilitate a restoration..."

Future Retro FR-777 RARE Early Purple Edition (#10 of 30) w/ VCA Sustain Mod
Note: links to listings are affiliate links for which the site may be compensated.
via this auction
"This analog beast is so much fun to play with! It is way more than a TB-303 clone, with 10 times more knobs to trick out the sound into mind-bending regions far beyond the original. I'm sad to let it go but I just haven't been making music for a few years and want to find a good home for my gear. The sequencer is like the FR Mobius, with on-the-fly editing while playing.
There is minor paint wear on the face plate, especially around the filter cutoff knob, to be expected with all the knob tweaking this thing inspires :)
RARE early purple edition (#10 of 30), w/ VCA sustain mod (switch on rear).
The additional switch changes between normal gate decay and no decay (infinite sustain)
'As in the original 303, if a long sustain is written for a note’s duration the VCA’s gate signal will eventually decay until no sound is heard. You can change this so that the gate signal never decays, and infinite gate times are possible.'"
