1972 Moog MINIMOOG model D explanation, early years progressive music

Published on Sep 2, 2013 tuoettore·26 videos

"A little demonstration of the early RA Moog Minimoog from 1972, the italian group PREMIATA FORNERIA MARCONI.You can see plexy wheels, squared bottom case and fat sound of the old oscillator board!!! I'n not the owner of rights for this vid."

This was only two years after the first Minimoog was released. It's hard to imagine what it must have been like at the time. Aside from Buchla, there were no other synths. Via Wikipedia: "The Minimoog is a monophonic analog synthesizer, invented by Bill Hemsath and Robert Moog. It was released in 1970 by R.A. Moog Inc. (Moog Music after 1972), and production was stopped in 1981.[1] It was re-designed by Robert Moog in 2002 and released as Minimoog Voyager."

Abandoned Space Bass Station II

Published on Sep 7, 2013 Benedict Roff-Mash·19 videos

"This is the same piece as the album track of almost the same name but re-voiced with the Novation Bass Station II synth. I intended to do this with the Slim Phatty but it wasn't to be. The Bass Station II is such a joy to use that this was fun, slow but fun.

ALL the sounds in the mix (except for the vocode) are from Bass Station II. Sequencing, effects and mixing done in Propellerheads Reason 7."

Hex Zone EBM

"Brief demo of the in/out switch feature of the Blacet HexZone.

Yes, you need one."

via Jason Hollis on The MATRIXSYNTH Lounge:

"Reading over the manual for the HexZone, I realized the switches were both input and output, with the output going to the Summed Switch I/O jack.

I've fed a Somatic Circuits VEM into switch 4 and the triangle out on the Blacet OSC into 2 to demonstrate, with a resonant kick and two oscillator bass patch to lay under and over for structure."

Published on Sep 7, 2013 Paul Johnson·6 videos

"First experiment with this setup. Rack already too small for everything to fit in less than 2 weeks since this whole crazy world opened itself up to me. Anyway, some interesting timing produced from the routing of things and a fine example of the DPO's Final oscilator. Screaming acid at some points all just from the oscilator at that point, the filter isn't really affecting the wave. Anyway, enjoy the chaos. Next mission.... bigger case!"
