The TB-303 from Christophocles's Perspective (part 1)
Published on Dec 23, 2013 christophocles acid·2 videos
Follow-up to TB-303 Acid Odyssey
"Footnotes below.
Intro - Thanks to Futurama, Dexter's Laboratory, The Simpsons, Seinfeld, Country Music Television, Techno Viking, Ed, Edd, n' Eddy, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Maximum respect.
1:01 - The background music you hear is Choose Your File from Earthbound, the cult SNES classic.
1:53 - That would be the tower formerly known as Sears, now sitting pretty as the Willis in the heart of Chicago.
2:06 - I am much obliged to the wonderful woman who joined the shoot as an impromptu dancer.
3:03 - The story is that our beloved driver once rolled down his window to chastise a J-walker. Little did our hero know, that walker was his boss!
4:04 - http://lavacable.com .
4:36 - The one and only Ceephax Acid Crew, ladies and gentlemen. His latest piece is truly worthy of the title "Acid Odyssey". Proper acid. He's the original belter, you know? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xq3sr... . And if you've got a spare £3.03 lying about, do buy his latest release, World Dissolver. While you're at it, buy Cro Magnox and United Acid Emirates.
4:47 - Another round of applause for Dexter's Laboratory and their brilliant Heart of Darkness rendition.
5:15 - synthjammer's Everybody Needs a 303: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZV68yA... .
10:51 - This little outro tune samples the latest work of the expert animator Egoraptor, the irreverent and lovable Danny Sexbang, and the Terror and Delight of the Universe, Ninja Brian. Together, they join forces to create Starbomb. The sample was pulled from the very end of Luigi's Ballad, which you can and should watch here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jfU7p... .
11:29 - Big thanks to LETSPLAYMARKUS for the Super Mario World footage, and of course to the gem of comedy Hot Rod.
Again, thank you so much for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed. And if you like it, tell us about it, won't you?
Part two will involve 808 bass, snow shovels, and nighttime city shots. I'll post it for an acid New Year's eve."

"Modular synthesizer recording.
I'm using LMSO with the Mutable Instruments CVPal midi interface. Little Miss Scale Oven (LMSO) is a tuning program which runs between the midi keyboard and midi interface for the modular. The tuning scale was created by X.J.Scott in 1999 and is 162.98 cET - 7/3 - div 9.
Mr. Scott's description goes as follows...
(The scale is) nice because it hits so many 13-limit intervals but misses the octave as far as possible. Also, the complex intervals are less 'out-of-ratio' than the simple ones (which can tolerate a wider detuning while maintaining their class distinction).
The ribbon controller is to the modular as well. All sounds are from the modular synthesizer and only a TC Electronic D-Two and Lexicon MX200 are outside effects. The radio sounds are run through a ring modulator with an oscillator as carrier and tuning voltage from the Make Noise Pressure Points."

Buchla Percussion Test #2

"Hand Percussion (Kanjira) triggering a Buchla 200e system via a 230e.
Just testing some ideas out again, I started this a while ago but got sidetracked and busy.
Excuse the terrible playing, I only had a small window of time to record this so couldn't warm up and record it again. I also haven't played the Kanjira for while, its not the sort of thing you can just pick up!"

SIEL ORCHESTRA String Machine 1979 | HD DEMO
Published on Dec 22, 2013 AnalogAudio1·120 videos
"(c) 2013 by AnalogAudio1
I played the Siel Orchestra dry, without any effects (except the intro music - here I added a EH Small Stone phaser and a delay from Roland DEP-5)
The Siel Orchestra is a string machine made in Italy. It has not only strings - it has a brass section, a strings section, a reed section and a piano section. Vibrato, attack and sustain controls. All sections are mixable. Mono output.
It is one of the cheaper string machines, small and portable. It is identical with ARP QUARTET, which was also produced by Siel in Italy."
