Jam Session at the Muff Wiggler Store & Patching the Qu-Bit Nano Rand

Published on Feb 8, 2015 Muff Wiggler

"tiptop drums, Audio damage FX, qu-bit nano rand, softwire switch, DPO, MMG, Ecophon, 4ms QCD, RCD/SCM

the lead is high feedback delay with delay time sequenced by Xoac Moskwa sequencer. lot's of modulation to the 4ms RCD/SCM"

Published on Feb 8, 2015 Muff Wiggler

"tiptop drum modules triggered by 4ms QCD, RCD/SCM, audio damage FX on the drums, Qu-bit nano rand sending gates to the Make Noise MMG strike input and CV to the Make Noise DPO. DPO audio routed to MMG and Ecophon.

The Softwire VC Octal Switch is turning on and off FX sends, modulation from the Nano Rand and modulation to the Audio Damage FreqShift.

4ms PEG, SISM also in use."

Simple Sputnik Show and Listen at the MuffWiggler Store

Published on Jan 17, 2015 Muff Wiggler

Playlist:
1. Simple Sputnik Show and Listen at the MuffWiggler Store
2. Sputnik 4 Tap Delay Dual Crossfader Fun - "long delays, short delays, modulated delays

the taps are patched into the crossfaders. CV of crossfaders by random voltages from Sputnik West Coast Random voltage source so the taps come in and out of the output.

sound source is Sputnik Oscillator into Sputnik Quad VCF/VCA being "sequenced" by the West Coast Random. The same gate the clocks the quantized random voltages in the West Coast Random is pinging the Quad VCF/VCA"

3. even more sputnik delay - "more patching between the Sputnik modular west coast random, oscillator, quad vcf/vca, tap delay/dual crossfader"

4. Sputnik Modular West Coast Random Source - "mostly clocked by itself using the fluctuating random voltage as a the clock for the stored and quantized random voltages.

various things patched into each other and all into a Sputnik Oscillator and Quad VCF/VCA"

Sputnik West Coast Random Generator examples

Published on Feb 10, 2015 bigcitymusic

"This is our first power up of this module and it is awesome! Video and patch notes below.
Here’s a quick test & overview of the Stored Random, Fluctuating Random and Quantized Random sections of the Sputnik West Coast Random Source.

00:00 - Stored Random Voltages section
01:10 - Fluctuating Random Voltages section
02:00 - Quantized Random Voltages section
02:27 - Lot’s’o Modulation with Intellijel Shapeshifter

00:00
Stored Random Voltages:
Pulse input generates random voltage
1st output covers 0-5V range
2nd output is voltage controlled and knob alters the distribution of voltages

Patch notes: End of envelope into Pulse input. 1st output into opens and closes VCA/VCF. 2nd output is modulating the Shape parameter of the Shapeshifter. Various color noise from the West Coast Random Generator is plugged into the Stored Random CV input.

01:10
Fluctuating Random Voltages:
Two sections for creating a fluctuating voltage
CV input and control over a bandwidth of .05hz to 50khz

Patch notes: 1st output is modulating the Shape 1 and 2 parameter of the Shapeshifter. 2nd output is modulating the Korgasmatron Filters A & B cutoff frequency.
ADSR 1 into Fluctuating Random Voltage input 2 CV, and an ADSR 2 into Fluctuating Random Voltage input 2 CV.

02:00
Quantized Random Voltages:
Pulse input for generating 1v/oct quantized random voltage
CV input and knob for controlling distribution of random voltages
Two different algorithmic outputs:
“N+1 states” and “2N states“. N is an integer number in the range 1…6 that can be adjusted with the manual control (Man N) and an external control voltage CVN with attenuator. Whenever the rising edge of the input clock signal (Clk In) appears a new random voltage is generated at the N+1 resp. 2N output. The N+1 output is capable to generate N+1 different voltage levels (or states), the 2N output up to 2Ndifferent states. If for example N is set to 4 the N+1 output generates up to 5, the 2N output 16 different states. The voltage steps of the 2N output are adjusted to 1/12 V in the factory.

Patch notes: 1st output is controlling the Pitch of Shapeshifter oscillator 1. 2nd output is controlling the Shapeshifter ratio."

The collector claimed that he purchased the synth directly from one of the engineers from the band during their tour in this country 17 years ago (1998)."
