GRP A4 Jam

Published on Aug 11, 2013 kpsiegel

"I tried to show a different side of the GRP A4 by not using filter distortion or the ring modulator at all. I didn't overdrive the filters either. I use the sequencer to modulate the oscillators and select different sequencer rows at different times. The sequencer is in 2x8 mode and is also used as a filter mod. The two filters are set up in parallel mode. Most of the time the ladder filter is in 24 dB mode. I had the filter envelope looping in auto mode with very slow attack and delay times.

I intentionally did not play a lot of notes on the keyboard but, instead, tried to use the sequencer with different row selectors and heavy use of the pattern reset button.

The A4 was put through a Strymon Timeline running the tape delay and a Strymon Blue Sky Reverberator for reverb. All drums were done with my modified 606."

Whispers

Published on Feb 15, 2015 Ziad Sarrouh

"Lazy Sunday afternoon funky psychedelic jam featuring analog, digital and virtual instruments.
This is my first jam featuring the new Korg electribe.
I had been toying with it for the past few days, and got confident enough to feature it in my setup.
I must say the new electribe is an amazing instrument. Besides being a great sounding synth, it is also a very solid sequencer, and it is driving all the setup without a hitch.

Check out my channel for more jams and music videos and subscribe to get updated on new stuff.
