Korg Arp Odyssey Exploration - BBoyTechReport.com
Published on May 8, 2015 BBoy Tech Report
"Digging a bit into the Korg Arp Odyssey. This is a simple sound demo or exploration of the Odyssey's capabilities. Having had only a few days with it, I decided to capture some of my fiddling around while running it thru the MPC Ren which I used as an effects processor. The effects are Delay Tape Sync and a bit of Frequency Shifter (very little). I know some will say why demo sound of the Odyssey with effects because it colors the sound and I say "because it colors the sound just a bit. Enough to give you an idea of what you could possibly do with it."

Noise Above Yangon
Noise Above Yangon from Rastko Lazic on Vimeo.
"This video documents the fifth installment of the Experimental Sound and Improvisation evening here in Yangon .
It is titled Noise Above Yangon as it was held on the roof of the Pansodan Scene Gallery on the 26 of April 2015 .
As usual, we had guests from abroad and this time we had a pleasure to listen to Phu Pham and Tri Minh, both from Hanoi, Vietnam and Mono-Poly, aka Dennis Verschoor from Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
The local performers where Darko and Ko Jeu under the Burmelange name, Kavas, Slyne Mon and me, Rastko.
It was a demanding technical setup with a sudden monsoon rain and electricity everywhere where it is not supposed to be but suddenly the skies cleared up and we have begun to play inspired by the great city beneath us.
I wish to thank the people working at the Pansodan Scene for helping us with the setup and for hosting our event on their roof top.
Furthermore, a big thank you to the wonderful audience who came to listen to us and to Michael Ã…berg for filming the event.
We dedicate this video and event to Yangon the city we love.

phantomdevices.org releases Hexaglyphics Noise Generator
Hexaglyphics Noise Generator User Guide Published on May 7, 2015 phantomdevicesorg
Trailer video posted here.
"Hexaglyphics is a 13-bit noise generator with an interface based on an original alphabet for hexadecimal values. It can turn gestures into a wide range of noise sweeps, zaps/clicks, squarish oscillations and abstract sounds.

"Hexaglyphics is a 13-bit noise generator with an interface based on an original alphabet for hexadecimal values. It can turn gestures into a wide range of noise sweeps, zaps/clicks, squarish oscillations and abstract sounds.
- Multitouch control zone with frequency of the noise oscillator on the x axis and (linear) amplitude on the y axis. The data of multiple touch are used consecutively each oscillator cycle. Every value generated is visualized in this control zone, white are positive values and grey are negative values.
- Multitouch filter bar: Bandpass filter when you use one finger or Lowpass/Highpass combination when you use two fingers. Filters frequencies are not smoothed so with the right fast gestures you can execute some kinds of strange clicky sounds.
- Latch mode for holding down the touched points even when you raise your fingers, useful for further processing the sound using external effects or plugins.
- Click mode for generating one-frequency-cycle clicks.
- Buttons for selecting one of four different noise generation modes.
- Audiobus 2 integration.
PHOTOSENSITIVE SEIZURE WARNING:
A very small percentage of people may experience a seizure when exposed to certain visual images, including flashing lights or patterns that may appear in this app. Even people who have no history of seizures or epilepsy may have an undiagnosed condition that can cause these "photosensitive epileptic seizures" to occur. Please do not use this program if you think you may be affected, and discontinue use if the app causes any discomfort."

Tiptop Circadian Rhythms sequencer eurorack beats & bass
Published on May 7, 2015 bigcitymusic
"The Tiptop Audio Circadian Rhythms sequencer is sequencing the Sputnik Oscillator, Tiptop Audio Marimba 808 and Mutable Instruments Peaks set to drum mode (kick/snare). The Clock/Reset Out is controlling the Intellijel Metropolis. The Metropolis pitch CV is modulating the Sputnik Oscillator (time modified by the 4ms QCD). A trigger channel from the Circadian Rhythms is being used as a pulse for the Sputnik West Coast Random source stored quantized voltages which is FM’ing the Intellijel Korgasmatron II (filtering the oscillator). White Noise from the Wet Coast Random Source is modulating the FM input of the oscillator. The oscillator is routed into Max/MSP for delay modulation. The oscillator is multed out into the Pittsburgh Phase Shifter. Both oscillator signals are sent into the Sputnik Quad/VCF VCA where the Circadian Rhythms is triggering both channels of the Intellijel Dual ADSR which is enveloping the VCA CV inputs. All sounds are summed in the Sputnik 6-Channel Stereo Mixer.

DJ Hombre on the Bastl Instruments MicroGranny

"This is just a little muck around with a sweet soul / funk sample (Otis Leaville - I Need You) ... No idea why no-one's copped this sample before, maybe they have.
Anyway, just testing out how well you can chop samples to get neat loops on this little beast."
