Published on May 18, 2015 Metatron's Cube
"Playing with some sound patches. Modulated wavetables represent. Starting to dive into the Mininova playing with the wavetables for sexy granular sounds(and externally controlling the Streichfett with the arp via midi). Feels ambient-ish. Thanks for watching/listening!

Novation Mininova(Dry)
Waldorf Streichfett(Kp3 lcr delay)
Volca Beats(TC Electronics T2 reverb)

POLY LOVES PHASHI 1
Published on May 18, 2015 Smokey Quartz
"In this video, the Tocante Phashi is plugged into the Ekdahl Polygamist and I record their first encounter. Awkward meeting or love at first sight? Also, the infamous Girl Party ladies take a face painted bath. We had too much fun making this video, if such a thing even exists."

Dave Smith Instruments Poly Evolver Keyboard: String Quartet Patch
Published on Dec 21, 2014 Sacred Synthesis
"This improvisation uses a patch resembling an old-worldish string quartet in a large auditorium. It uses four sawtooths closely tuned, "slop," and a deep delayed vibrato, combined with the modulation wheel assigned to the filter cut off frequency for making dynamic changes. The upper range of the Evolver unfortunately has some audible digital aliasing.
Instrumentation:
DSI Poly Evolver Keyboard
DSI Poly Evolver Rack
Reverb from Lexicon MX300 and Alesis Nanoverb 2
Recorded directly to CD
All music property of Sacred Synthesis."
Dave Smith Instruments Prophet '08: Strings and Bass
Published on Mar 11, 2015
"This little improvisation is all Prophet '08. It's meant to demonstrate two sounds: a string patch which is an emulation of a typical vintage string machine, as well as a rather menacing bass patch with all sorts of modulation.
Because the string patch uses Stack Mode, the instrument is reduced to only four voices. This makes it extremely difficult to avoid all "popping," as each voice is reassigned, due to your frequently running out of voices. It's especially true with such a transparent sound. You have to choose your notes very carefully, and trigger them with a deliberately disconnected technique. It's a reminder of one of the challenges of playing synthesizer: namely, each patch requires a unique playing technique, especially in light of its envelope setting.
Instrumentation:
DSI Prophet '08 Keyboard (2)
DSI Prophet '08 Module
Reverb from Lexicon MX300
Recorded directly to CD
All music property of Sacred Synthesis."
