Dijkstar Music Handclap Proto Demo

Published on Jun 18, 2015 Kanaal van Richard200000
Update: video is back... and again...

"Demonstration from the RiDrum Handclap Proto THC-01, see for more information on WWW.DIJKSTAR.COM"

"The Handclap proto is finished, and it sounds great, it’s almost identical to the original 808 handclap but with some extra features like tune, claps speed and claps count, the 808 clap is built up with 4 “claps”, in other words there are 4 short noise pulses with a short decay that makes the “crackle” or clap sound and they are all fixed and not adjustable but with this new module you can choose how many claps or noise pulses you want from 1 to 10 and you can adjust the speed of the claps, the speed is also controllable with a CV source.
Also in the original handclap the last clap or pulse has a longer decay time and that’s also adjustable on this new module.

And there is a tune parameter on this handclap, maybe the first analog handclap with tune and this is done with a BPF filter, a handclap is generated with a noise source and noise has normally no pitch, but to generate a handclap with noise, the noise is equalized with a sharp boost in the mid frequencies and vary the boost frequency simulate a nice tune effect, the tune is also controllable with a CV source.

For the ambient noise, or the “reverb or hall noise”, there is a level en release parameter added.

This module will also get a new design compare to the TK-09 Kickdrum, the module will be smaller, 14HP instead of 20HP and the 6.3mm jacks and PSU are being replaced with 3.5mm mini jacks and eurorack PSU socket and to make the modules smaller the internal electronics are built up with modern SMD technology, with normal THD technology it’s not possible to made it fit on one circuit board.

Therefore the TK-09 Kickdrum will also get a redesign to fit with the Handclap, see for more information the Kickdrum page."

A Roland GR-300 is modified that the LFO can modulate both the pitch (standard) and the Low Pass Filter (VCF). This mode was originally suggested my Mike at metalbox.com, and was posted on the vintage Roland guitar synth forum in August 2013."

Software V1.41 w/ Blue Led upgrade.

Includes original manual and power supply.
SCHALTWERK is a professional tool for generating pattern-based musical structures. It is an input and controlling instrument for rhythmic trigger patterns, arpeggios, analog sequences, chord triggers and other rhythmic structures whereby all functions are available simultaneously. The real time access to all 8 tracks predestinates SCHALTWERK for improvisation and live events. The main features are:

8 track pattern sequencer with MIDI
16 CV- and 8 Gate outputs
controls for each track: 16 buttons and LEDs
setting/resetting of steps by pressing the corresponding button while the pattern is running, resulting in lively structures changeable in real time
display of the active steps and the actual step
mute/demute track by a dedicated mute button for each track
MIDI-note or controller event, master note, master velocity, prescale, note length, delay, MIDI channel and last step (for uneven measures) independently programmable for each track
for each single step note and velocity are programmable or may be recorded from an external MIDI keyboard (analog sequencer mode)
in combination with incoming MIDI-notes each track may alternatively work as an arpeggiator, chord trigger or gater (combined with the possibility to turn each step on or off)
128 patterns (1 Pattern = 8 tracks of 16 steps)
fast selection of patterns with 32 pattern and 4 pattern bank buttons with LEDs
creation of pattern-links (1-2/1-2-3-4), i.e. track expansion to 32 or 64 steps
16 songs, each song has 128 steps for pattern number and number of repetitions of the pattern
fast selection of songs with 8 song buttons and 2 song bank buttons with LEDs
copy, move, clear, load, save tracks, patterns and songs
save all informations via MIDI SysEx
synchronisation (internal/external) via MIDI-Clock
record function: realtime recording of certain actions similiar to a software sequencer
transposition of sequences via MIDI notes
2 separate MIDI inputs, 2 separate MIDI outputs, DIN-SYNC (Roland compatible) input or output
light grey 19" case, 8 height units
184 LEDs (standard: red, blue series: blue), 208 buttons, 2-line LC-display, alpha-dial for data input
optically similiar to Regelwerk, MAQ16/3, A-100, MCV24, MS-404 ...."

1977 ARP PRO/DGX Soloist Analog Synthesizer Early Model 2720 With 4034 Filter

"This is an ARP PRO/DGX (Soloist/DGX) Model 2720. This synth has a low serial number of 2720 0385 and uses the more desirable 4034 filter. It's in pretty good overall condition, but it does need some work. It was stored in a dusty warehouse so it could use a thorough cleaning. It is missing: two slider knobs (sliders still work), one of the tilt screw feet from the bottom, some of the screws inside that hold the wooden sides on, and the sheet music rest back. We cleaned the key contacts and all of the notes sound. When I first powered it up all of the touch sensor features worked, but now I can only get the pitch and volume to work consistently. Some keys seem to trigger the aftertouch easier than others. I'm only capable of doing very rudimentary repairs, so I can't troubleshoot the cause. Portamento works great. Repeat works, but doesn't seem to work on all of the voices. Octave Transpose works, but the switch should be cleaned. The other issue that I noticed is, when you first power it on, all of the voices can be selected, but, after playing around with it for a little while, the first half of the voice buttons select sounds from the second half. (Meaning the "Bassoon" button will select "French Horn" instead)"
