New Low-Gain Electronics 2-Bits Binary Sequencer Module Overview Demo
Published on Feb 17, 2016 LowGainElectronics
"2 bit binary addressing digital to analogue converter. A four stage gate controlled preset voltage sequencer.
By using either the bit toggle switches, you can choose from manually turning On(up) or Off(center) each of the bits or switching to EXTernal(down) gate control.
The OR output is a logic OR gate based on the status of the two bit status. Each bit and OR output has an LED to indicate it's current status. The user can choose between Gate or Trigger for each Bit feed to the OR Output via the back of the module.
The CV output has a range switch to select between a 0-5V or 0-10V range of the stage pots.

Bob Moog Foundation: John Mills-Cockell on Early Moog Modular Artists

"Thom Holmes returns with the first installation of an exploration of some of the earliest uses of the Moog Modular in live performance. This month he highlights John Mills-Cockell, who was a member of the experimental multimedia group Intersystems in Toronto in the late 60s.
Read about Mills-Cockell's early use of the modular and hear examples of it here."
Pictured: "Intersystems, circa 1968. From left, Blake Parker, John Mills-Cockell, Dik Zander, Michael Hayden. Showing a Moog Modular synthesizer IIP with its keyboard and ribbon controller sitting on top of a Vox organ."
On a separate note, the Bob Moog Foundation continues to expand their Dr. Bob's SoundSchool education initiative.
"Our hallmark education initiative, Dr. Bob's SoundSchool, began five years ago as a pilot program in eight classrooms. Today the innovative program, which inspires children through the intersection of science, music, and technology, will serve over 85 classrooms, and nearly 2,000 students."

A bassline with the ARP Odyssey (Korg re-issue) by Jordan Passmore
Published on Feb 17, 2016 Jordan Passmore
"This is a demonstration of the ARP Odyssey re-issue by Korg. The ARP is being sequenced via Ableton. The drums and the synth were ran into my Ace Tone Mixer (with built-in spring reverb) and then the overall signal was sent into my audio interface. The only effect used was the spring reverb, and the was just affecting the ARP (when you see my tweaking a knob to the far left, that is the total amount of reverb being sent to the main mix)."
