Live Jam #26 - Techno / Ambient - APC key, Microbrute, Microkorg, Beatstep Pro, Modular synthesizer

"Another session with the APC at its core, triggering clips in Ableton live. Microkorg plays the chords. Use audio pluggiator (offscreen) the organ thing in the middle. Microbrute is creating the quick repetitive background sequence. Main repetitive melody is from the Dixie II with some linFM from a lfo influenced by a stepped random voltage from the MFB dual lfo. Percussion from a wavefolded triangle from the a143-4, through a closed MMG, opened with the strike input. Other beats from ableton.. Beatstep-pro is working as a midi to cv converter. Also drives the doepfer clock divider.

Arturia Beatstep Pro, Akai APC key 25, Arturia Microbrute, Korg Microkorg, Use Audio Plugiator and Eurorack modular system with:

Doepfer: a-118, a-119, a-124, a-143-4, a-148, a-156, a-160-2, a-199
Intellijel: Dixie II, uFold, Quadra, 2xTriat , Linux, mult
Make noise: MMG, Lxd
Mutable instruments: Peaks
MFB: Dual LFO
Synthrotek: Echo

Audio via the Behringer mixer to a Moto Ultralite MK3 hybrid.
External effects: T.C electronics M350 for delay.

No post processing."

Fascinating bit on the ability to create new Memorymoogs, CS80s, etc starting at 10:45. The OB-6 took DSI and Tom Oberheim less than six months to do as the backbone with the Prophet-6 was already in place. The Oberheim based voice boards with filters just needed to be designed in.

"This is a small jam with a Continuum and a Cirklon squencer. The only sound engine is the Egan Matrix (internal sound engine of the Continuum)... no additional effects ! The Cirklon controls one voice of the Egan Matrix and the Continuum's surface the other channels.
