Bastl POPCORN Preview (Superbooth 2016) ! #TTNM
Published on Mar 30, 2016 The Tuesday Night Machines
"Here's a preview of the upcoming Bastl Instruments Popcorn Eurorack sequencer, first introduced at NAMM 2016!
The Popcorn sequencer is an 8-step CV&Gate sequencer, that offers lots of playback flexibility, using its many CV control modes.
From the Bastl Instruments website::
Compact, but incredibly musical sequencer / quantizer / arpeggiator – you name it! Popcorn sequencer embraces the idea of making selection of 8 notes that can be browsed in many different ways. It all just depends on the signals you feed it with. It is incredibly musical when used with rhythm sequencer such as Knit Rider because it has two triggers A and B which will go 1,2,3, or 4 steps forward or backward depending on the settings of the dedicated knobs. You can also address the steps with CV or 3 binary gates. You can use CV to transpose the pitch or transpose it in a quantized way or change minor major settings of the quantizer with gate.

Mutable Instruments Peaks & Warps: A Non-Musical Experimental Test
Published on Mar 29, 2016 Genshi Media Group
"WARNING! This is a completely non-musical experimental test that I recorded just for my own self. On the off chance that there are a small handful of people that might be interested in this, I made it Public as well. If it's NOT what you are looking for, and/or you don't like it, then JUST MOVE ON! No need to down vote it! Details are as follows:
I received the Mutable Instruments Peaks and Warps today and just wanted to test out what they actually do and how they interact with my other modules (particularly Braids and Clouds as well as Radio Music by Music Thing Modular.) I had Ableton Live running and my iPhone video recording so I can capture the various tests. Most of it is crap! But the point of it, for me, was to see (and hear) how they all work together. I tried out the various modes (sorry, don't even remember which ones) as well as the alternative "Parasites" firmware in Warps towards the end. There were, of course, some exceptional moments as well... only after I stopped recording, unfortunately. :-(
As with my previous videos, my next one will be back to the more musical style that my viewers are use to..."
