"DM1 has been one of the most popular drum apps since 2011, and now we've got a sequel that differs greatly from the original! This one is synthesis-based instead of relying on samples! New Audiothingies Micromonsta Desktop Synth

Audiothingies Micromonsta Demo 1

Published on May 27, 2016 audiothingies

"The micromonsta is an 8-voice polyphonic desktop synthesizer.

The examples in the video are straight from the output of the synthesizer. No external post processing"

Update: Details in via www.audiothingies.com.

"The Micromonsta is an 8-voice polyphonic desktop synthesizer.

Built on top of our acclaimed P6 synthesizer [demo video here] from which it shares the same user interface, it adds the following features:

2 more voices, that’s 8 instead of 6!
Wavetable support
15 custom made, multi-sampled factory wavetables, featuring both evolving sweeps and totally random wavetables
1 bank of 15 user wavetables, free for your own use (we’re currently designing a small software to help you download wavetables to the Micromonsta)
Unison mode available in polyphonic mode
New detuning options (per voice and per oscillator)
The arp pattern editor has been extended with new options
Envelopes parameters and LFOs speed available as destination in the matrix
And a very nice custom-made UV-printed enclosure
It’s even smaller than the P6, more power in less desktop space while still retaining the usability.

And of course, it gets the great features inherited from the P6 synthesizer:

2 oscillators, 1 sub oscillator, 1 multimode filter, 3 envelopes, 3 LFOs, 6 modulation slots, 3 scalers, 1 lag operator per voice
12 oscillator types (+ the new wavetables of course)
8 filter types
A chorder module allowing the generation of 4-note chords within a key/scale
A powerful arpeggiator with step pattern editor
Internal FX
384 preset slots"

Rebel Technology - 'Phoreo' sequence.

Published on May 27, 2016 PaulLawlerMusic

"Testing the Phoreo on a straight 16ths sequence. The Phoreo is randomly adding the ratchets and clock division changes to the sequence via LFOs on the CV inputs."

I believe this is the first post to feature the Phoreo. Some details via Rebel Technology:

Φορέω is a triple function processor for triggers, gates and clocks. It simultaneously performs pulse width modulation, multiplication and repetition, with individual input, output and CV for each function.

Pulse width modulation, as a ratio of the input signal rate, is adjustable from 0 to 100 percent.
Multiplication also operates on the input signal rate, multiplying it by a factor from 1 to 16.
Repetition generates a burst of triggers, at the rate of the multiplier, with repetitions adjustable from 1 to 16.
Each function has two knobs for manual and CV level, and three jacks for trigger input, CV input and trigger output.

Pulse width modulation carries through to the outputs of the two other functions, and the three trigger inputs are normalled from top to bottom.

When multiply and repeat are combined, Φορέω makes an excellent burst generator, perfect for rolls, flams and fills. The repeater gives precise control over burst length, while the multiplier easily moves from quarter notes, to thirds, to eights, to everything in between and lots more beyond. Go on, give us a snare rush!

Φορέω is also extremely versatile with many utility functions, such as master clock doubling, clock modulation, and for triggering and clocking fast sequences. It even works as a square wave overtone generator with PWM, tracking audio input signals up to 20kHz.

Φορέω perfectly complements Στοιχεῖα, Λόγοι, Κλάσματα and Χρόνος, completing our Euclidean series of trigger processors.

"Some custom patches (Inspired by Tangerine Dream) on my newly acquired Sequential Circuits Prophet 600 with Gligli processor upgrade. Among the many improvements there are 2 that stand out. Much improved envelopes and the ability to overdrive the oscillators through the filter. Resulting in a very prophet 5 like sound"
