Arturia KeyStep and ARP 2600 Demo | Berlin School of Electronic Music Style

Published on Aug 24, 2016 Ralph Baumgartl VLog

"A quick live demo jam with the new Arturia KeyStep (Controller/Sequencer) and the ARP 2600 semi modular synthesizer. The KeyStep is controlling the ARP 2600 via CV (pitch) and Gate signals. Moreover it is also syncing the Korg Electribe 2 which is on drum duty. The Roland JD-Xi is used for some chord pads. This little demo jam is in the style of Berlin School of Electronic Music.

Gear used: Arturia KeyStep, ARP 2600, Roland JD-Xi, Korg Electribe 2, Strymon BigSky, Strymon Timeline, Zoom MS-70CDR, Boss BX-600"

Mystic Circuits Spectra Mirror Oscilloscope Explanation

Published on Aug 24, 2016 Mystic Circuits

"This is probably the best way to show exactly what the Spectra Mirror does to a signal. I briefly explain Track and Holds and how they differ from Sample and Holds, 'High-Pass' Sampling and how to use it in conjunction with the normal Spectra Mirror effect."

Back To Hordijk

"Took a brief break from some projects to get back to my Hordijk system. Really love Rob's modules! Here is a little live improv. Studio monitors recommended, it gets loud at times and there are some transient high pitches :-)"

Korg DW-6000 Demo

Published on Aug 23, 2016 Richard Moore

"Here's the Korg DW-6000 that I just saved from decades of neglect in someone's garage. It looks like the cheapest of Casios but sounds more like a Roland Juno-106. I think it may be a keeper :)"

Knobcon 5 Synthrotek ASTRONOISE Eurorack or Console DIY workshop

Published on Aug 23, 2016 synthrotek

http://store.synthrotek.com/AstroNois...

"Knobcon 2016 bonus! The AstroNoise at KC can be built as a Eurorack module OR as a standalone circuit that you can wire into a case later. In the past it has just been a standalone circuit, but the lofi wizards of Synthrotek have modded the board to fit in a 10HP DIY Blank Panel. All kits will come with the parts needed for both the standalone circuit or Eurorack mod, no extra charge. The PCB will be cut ahead of time as needed for the mod, and the DIY Panel will be pre-drilled. The jacks provided will be 3.5mm.

The workshop will be taught by Scott Rise of Division 6 fame. Soldering irons, solder, and other necessary tools will be provided. You can check out the assembly instructions ahead of time here (the Eurorack mod is at the bottom of the page).

This circuit requires a medium-ish skill level. Have you soldered something successfully before? Then you're good to go.

Please purchase this workshop ahead of time so we know how many kits to bring!"
