West Coast Funky Synth Jam (Unfinished Demo from the Vaults)
Published on Nov 2, 2016 snolan1990
"This was recorded on the 19th of June this year to show a few friends my new EPROM sounds in the Drumtraks.
I didn't really rate the tune much at the time but listening again I thought I may as well share it on YouTube even though the playing isn't the best.
Sounds are as follows:
Drums - Sequential Circuits Drumtraks with custom EPROMS
Bass - Moog Slim Phatty
Chords - Roland Juno-60 & Yamaha Reface CP
Bleeps - Roland JX-3P
Lead - Sequential Circuits Six-Trak
Drums sequenced internally, all non live synths sequenced via the Akai ASQ10."

"This was the first drum brain with MIDI. Early to mid 80's. Has the classic Simmons analog Tom sounds with digital Snare and Rim sounds which are user exchangeable. (EPROMS under cover shown). This unit has been completely updated with the latest operating system. Has new memory cell and has been re-set to the original factory settings. Has a cool echo feature unique to this unit. As well as a second skin setting that can really fatten up the toms. Has a Kick, Snare, Rim, and three Toms. Individual drum outputs, Mono mix and Stereo mix outputs."

"Yamaha Reface CS 2016 Late Night Sessions
by Rik Marston 100% NO TALKING!!!
Late night tweaking is the BEST!
And using the Yamaha CS is one hell of a ride!
I cannot believe the power this little synthesizer
has, PLUS it has GREAT built-in EFFECTS!
Just a blast to play but is better playing with
larger keys via MIDI. I don't really dig mini keys.
That has NEVER stopped me from buying a synth!
Anyway this synth is worth the money and is small
enough to take with you anywhere! Plus it can work
with batteries! Fast gigs here we come!!
The Yamaha Reface CS was recorded DRY
into Ableton Live 7 with no external FX
Thank you for watching!
