"This synth is like a suped-up Roland SH-2000 preset, mono synth.

Works great. Keys are yellowed. Includes the extremely rare Multivox brass case.

The Multivox MX-880 has almost exactly the same features and voices as the Roland SH-2000:
- Touch Volume (Off/On)
- Touch Wow (Off/On)
- Touch Growl (Off/On)
- Touch Vibrato (Off/On)
- Touch Pitch Bend (Up/Off/Down)
- Repeat (Off/On)
- Sustain Long (Off/On)
- Hold (Off/On)
- Easy Tuning knob
- Touch Sensitivity knob
- Volume slider
- Modulation Speed slider
- Modulation (amount) slider
- Cutoff Frequency slider
- Resonance slider
- Portamento Speed slider
- Portamento (Touch/Off/On)
- Random Note generator (LFO Trigger/Off/Random Trigger)
- Transpose (Low/Normal/High)

But, additional the second ocillator is what makes this synth different. You choose any frequency within the range (3rd, 5th, 6th, octave or any frequency in between) or select Unison for a thick single notes.

Voices: Tuba, Trombone, French Horn, Trumpet, Saxophone, Clarinet, Accordion, Bassoon, Oboe, Flute, Song Whistle, Singing Voice, Cello, Violin, Bass Guitar, Hawaiian Guitar, Banjo, Fuzz Guitar 1, Fuzz Guitar 2, Harpsichord, Piano, Xylophone, Vibraphone, Percolate (called Pop Corn on Roland SH-2000), Space Reed, Outer Space (called Planet on Roland SH-2000), Frogman, Alley Cat (called Funny Cat on Roland SH-2000), Ring Modulator (may be the same as Growl Wow on Roland SH-2000), Wind.

Here's a video of the MX-2000 I sold a while ago. The MX-880 sounds and looks exactly the same except Multivox covered up the MX-2000 with an MX-880 sticker:" [previously posted here]

I don't think I realized there were early models with different style graphics. Curious if featured/functionality differed and if so, whether these early models were upgradable. If you know, feel free to comment.

Doepfer MOGLI Midi Glove (Rare - Vintage)

Published on Feb 19, 2017 studentsmusic

"Mogli was a nice attempt (Doepfer cooperated with the Band Kraftwerk on this) in 1993, to control MIDI via a Nintendo game controller glove. Probably only about 350 were built because the glove went out of Nintendo-production. So here´s a rare basic demonstration how it works.

Semi-Fun factor (realized it afterwards):
sorry for associating my glovehand going up with political implications plus darth vader...no worries i´m somewhat a liberal democrat :-)"

Roland Cloud Anthology 1987 versus Roland D50

Published on Feb 26, 2017 Woody Piano Shack

"Roland have at last released an official VST plugin of their legendary Roland D-50 synthesizer. Mysteriously they call it Anthology 1987, with no mention of the synth that's it based on. I have some theories about that... Anyway, in this video I play some favorite presets on the hardware and virtual instruments for a comparison of the sounds."
