All Hallows' Eve - Halloween with the Moog!
Published on Oct 31, 2017 100 Things I Do
"Something simple (Moog , Reverb , Delay , Eventide H3000). I wasn't going to do a Halloween clip this year.. but I started creating some nice dark noises playing with the FM on the Moog and decided to share. You can decide yourself if its suitably atmospheric enough :D"

Happy Halloween from ROLI: featuring Wizardly Wayz by Jordan Rudess
Published on Oct 31, 2017 ROLI
"Watch our Halloween homage to John Carpenter, created using sounds from the sorcerer of the keyboard dark arts himself — prog rock legend Jordan Rudess! Jordan's new NOISE soundpack Wizardly Wayz is available to download in the Soundpack Store now, alongside a Floatation, a new collection of ambient sounds.
Preview the sounds and learn more at https://roli.com/stories/wizardly-wayz
Jordan Rudess has amazed audiences as the synth-player for prog rock titans Dream Theater — and now he’s sharing his signature soundpack Wizardly Wayz, so everyone can capture a piece of the magic.
Featuring overdriven synths like Evil Pad, Wizardly Wayz packs a powerful hard-rock punch. But it also has enchanting orchestral effects, such as the strings of Mythic Key Layer and the flute-like Inventing Ether — perfect for adding dramatic flair to your creations.
Packed full of expansive synths that allow you to craft an intricate tapestry of sound, Floatation lets you produce lush atmospheres with warm, layered textures like Cassiopeia Ensemble. Or add spectral moodiness to your music using Darkvista.
Get your hands on both new soundpacks now in the NOISE Soundpack Store."

Sequential Prophet VS Vector Synthesizer (1986) 80s Stranger Things John Carpenter music style
Published on Oct 31, 2017 RetroSound
"(c) 2017 vintage synthesizer demo by RetroSound
all synthesizer sounds: Sequential Circuits Prophet VS Vector Synthesizer from the year 1986
drums: LinnDrum (1982)
recording: multi-tracking without midi
fx: delay
For the bassline I used here the internal arpeggiator. All played by hand.
For me is the VS one of the best synthesizers ever. Digital waveforms in combination with an analog filter is the perfect combination for fantastic hybrid sounds."
