Korg KingKorg - Custom Patches by GEOSynths

1. Korg KingKorg - Custom Patches 1 to 25 - GEOSynths.com
"Now set up in my new Studio and recently picked up a KingKorg and thought i'd do some patches on it. For a purely Digital Synth or software in a box, it's a surprisingly good Synth.
Had to use 2 Unison voices for most things to get some "width" but it handles it really well. Anyway, I'm doing a full Bank of patches for it...here are the first 25 which are mainly Pad and evolving sounds, but there's also splits and stacked patches."
2. Korg KingKorg - Custom Patches 26 to 50 - GEOSynths.com
"2nd Batch of patches for the Korg KingKorg and I have to say, i'm really impressed with the Sound Engine on this and using the FX as part of the sound...not just an add-on."
3. Korg KingKorg - Custom Patches 51 to 75 - GEOSynths.com
"3rd batch of patches for the Korg KingKorg Set...Just one more to go and they will be released! I sometimes have to stop myself with making Pads and Evolving ones in particular, as it's so good at doing them. Damn fine Synth if you ask me."
5. Korg KingKorg - Custom Patches 76 to 100 - GEOSynths.com
So, here we are, the final batch of patches for the Korg KingKorg are completed. I've had lots of fun and a few frustrations making them, but overall it's a great sounding Synth.

OP-1 Ambient Noodles
Published on Feb 27, 2018 RemixSample
1. "This is not a song. I'm just doing some improvisation on the OP-1. Personally I'm not sure if I'd like to watch this type of content myself. The fiddling can get annoying to watch I guess so let me know if you are into these type of videos or not.
I hooked up the OP-1 to my DAW and split the stereo signal into two mono channels so I can use different vst effects on each channel by panning the different tracks on the OP-1 In this case I used Valhalla Shimmer and Soundtoys Crystallizer."
2. "Another ambient noodle recorded live. Same set up as in the last video, used Valhalla Shimmer and Soundtoys Crystallizer for effects. I wish the OP-1 had Shimmer built in. That would be pretty sweet. 4:00 is my favorite part. Being able to pitch the entire tape on the OP-1 is awesome for ambient stuff."
Mumdance demos his jungle-inspired Eurorack filter module, MUM M8
Published on Feb 27, 2018 FACTmagazine
You can find details on the ALM MUM M8 here, and a demo from Perfect Circuit Audio here.
"We visit Mumdance's studio for an exclusive look at his exciting new module.
Mumdance’s musical influences are many, but top of the list are two things: modular synths and hardcore. He's managed to combine his love of both with his latest release, a Eurorack filter module designed with UK boutique studio ALM Busy Circuits, the MUM M8.
The inspiration for the MUM M8 is Akai’s S950 sampler from 1988, whose unique filter sound is behind many classic jungle and hardcore records of the era. We visited Mumdance at his home studio to get an exclusive inside look at how the module – right down to the "rave baggie" the screws come in.
For more on the making of the MUM M8 read our interview with Mumdance and ALM's Matthew Allum. If you want to know where to start with building your own modular synth, check out our Eurorack beginner's guide."

Rheyne - Strymon Magneto
Published on Feb 24, 2018 Rheyne
1. "Magneto is being clocked by a Tempi, and Magneto's clock outputs 2, 3, and 4 are sent to a Morphagene's shift input, a Noise Engineering's algo input, and Ch4 of Maths which is modulating the decay of the envelope on the arpeggio. Kick is from a self-oscillating Dave Smith DSM01 filter. Sequenced with a Winter Modular Eloquencer."
2. "Some more experimenting with the Strymon Magneto under voltage control. The pad is from a Make Noise Morphagene, and both synth voices are from a DPO. Reverb is from a Strymon BigSky."

Tara Bush's Vintage Williamsville Moog Minimoog Model D For Sale

via this auction. She also has a minty TB-303 listed here.
"Lovely Minimoog Model D, Williamsville era. I'm not 100% sure of the year, I was told around 1977 or 78 judging by the serial number (8538). It was just tuned & serviced a few weeks ago by the awesome synth tech Nick Montoya of Moog Music. It is fully and beautifully functional; he also replaced the mod wheels.
A few cosmetic snags for the sake of transparency - The power cord is frayed at the top, and the back plastic panel is ever so slightly lifted by the headphone jack. There are a few slight dings around the body. Sounds absolutely beastly & perfect though. No crackly pots.
Please message me with any questions. I adore this synth and loathe to sell, but I don't use it enough to justify keeping it as I now have another Model D and a Voyager (I know, very different but still.). I very much want this synth to go to a loving home that will appreciate it and use it.
I used this Model D on I Speak Machine's "Zombies 1985" release ( the songs "Shame", "Blood From a Stone" and "Demon Days"). Search Spotify, you'll find them. - Tara"
