Tryout:- 208 Toolbox and Disting SD delay

Published on Mar 5, 2019

"Quick demo of my continuing exploration of the 208 Toolbox, this time linked in to a test run of the new SD card delay in Disting Mk 4

Toolbox combines VCs from the pulser, envelope and sequencer to create a syncopated, accented sequenced modulating the Complex Oscillator and its amplitude. Mod oscillator is used for a simple lead voice, gated using pressure out from the 218.

The pulser is taken out, divided and used as a master clock for Disting set to algorithm K6.

I think it works pretty well.

Note - you do need a fast SD card for this to work properly. Needs to write around 90 Mb/sec. Anything lower won't cut it. I had to upgrade my card - hence the test run."

Recovery Effects Pearl Low End Vintage Fuzz Eurorack Demo

Published on Mar 5, 2019 recoverysounds

"Demo of the Pearl Low End Vintage Fuzz Eurorack module from Recovery Effects."

Some info on the pedal version as the eurorack module isn't listed on the Recovery Effects website yet:

"The Pearl sinks its teeth into the low end and doesn’t let go. Its modified vintage circuit delivers heavy bass fuzz tone with versatile controls to work with your music. This pedal was created for bass, but you can also plug your guitar into it to make your low-end dreams come true!

At the heart of the pedal is an all-analog silicon design that sounds great with any pickup type. We use hand-picked, new-old-stock “oil can” BC109 transistors that add a classic, vintage tone to this modern fuzz. The user interface includes a range of controls including intensity, tonality, compression, output level, and a high/low switch that affects the amount of bottom end. The Pearl is a compact, simple to use, player-friendly pedal with a monster, low-end tone. In short, it is a force to be reckoned with.

Hand-made in Seattle, WA. The Pearl operates on a standard 'Boss' style 9vdc power supply, but can also run at 18vdc for additional headroom. True bypass switching. Includes a limited lifetime warranty."

MOOG MEMORYMOOG - FM Bells & Envelopes | Ambient Soundscape 【SYNTH DEMO】

Published on Mar 5, 2019 synth4ever

"Moog Memorymoog analog synthesizer demo, featuring FM bells & envelope tweaking to create an experimental ambient soundscape.

The Moog Memorymoog allows for FM modulation via Oscillator 3, which can create some incredible textures and tones. The Memorymoog's quick envelopes also allows for snappy and plucky sounds to be created, or long smooth decays.

This experimental ambient soundscape and synth demo aims to showcase the envelopes and some FM sounds from the Moog Memorymoog."
