Korg Volca Modular | Unboxing + Demo
Published on Apr 15, 2019 littleBIGsynths
"Korg Volca Modular, Semi modular synth, unboxing and sound demo
Hey guys! I just picked up a brand new volca, the Korg Volca Modular! Like most people, when I first heard that there were new Volcas, I got super excited. π The Volca drum seems cool, but not quite as interesting to me as the Volca Modular. For me, the vMod was a no brainer... A semi modular Volca? Yes! Take my money. π€ So, after placing my preorder and waiting a few months, its finally here. I am super eager to play with it and learn more about this "west coast" synthesis stuff. Oh, and of course make lots of cool videos for it. π
Well, I hope you guys enjoy this video! As always, thank you for for watching, littleBIGsynths. π
Please be sure to LIKE, COMMENT, and/or SUBSCRIBE I would highly appreciate it. π

The $48 Add-On pack features over 1,781 samples, 41 custom instruments, and 32 custom presents including Layer A and Layer B for each. The Add-On pack was created by deep-sampling a vintage OBX synthesizer.
The Add-On pack requires Prophet X OS v2.1 or higher.
The Prophet X was designed to accommodate up to 50 GB of 16-bit, 48 kHz user-generated and third-party content. Imported sample content can be used to create custom instruments and patches. Sampled instruments can be augmented with the Prophet X’s own synthesis engine, which features 2 digital oscillators, stereo analog filters, and a multitude of sound-shaping controls.
For more information about other Add-On Packs, including The Last Prophet (the last production model of the Prophet-5 ever made) and the ARP 2600, visit 8Dio’s website."

"Ian Hultquist is an American composer and producer based in Los Angeles, CA. Over the past few years he has made a name for himself composing the scores for numerous films, documentaries and TV shows.
Ian started his career in music as a founding member of the band Passion Pit, which started in Boston, MA where he was studying film scoring at Berklee College of Music. Strymon Big Sky, Meris Mercury 7, Eventide H9 Max Shimmer Reverb Comparison
Published on Apr 14, 2019 Uriel Ortega
"These three units are what I constantly use for my live synth rig. All three are powerful high quality units with very deep editing. In this simple video I do a comparison of the shimmer reverb algorithm on the Meris Mercury 7, The Eventide H9 Max, and the Strymon Big Sky. I love all three but usually have the Big Sky as my go to reverb for live use. Which do you prefer?"

NerdSEQ 'More Triggers 16' Expander
Published on Apr 15, 2019 XOR Electronics
"A small introduction into the new 'More Triggers 16' expander for the NerdSEQ Eurorack sequencer. It adds 16 more Trigger/Gate outputs which are totally integrated into the sequencer."
"NerdSEQ is an 8–track Eurorack sequencer with a rich feature set, allowing you to sequence modules or MIDI compatible gear, put probabilities on probabilities, generate randomness (or, on the contrary, create and effortlessly save rigid song structures), upload & sequence samples and much more.
This software update is a major one as it elaborates on NerdSEQ’s many key capabilities and adds plenty more fun and flexibility – it is now possible to use its effective tracker–style workflow to sequence all of your external MIDI gear with per–track 4 voice polyphony across all channels. CC messages, Aftertouch, Pitchbend, Program change and NRPN are all accessible as well, and the imaginary cherry on top is that most of this can be manipulated by NerdSEQ’s Automations engine – meaning you can use its internal LFOs or external CVs for all sorts of crazy modulations and breathe some new life into your old rack synths collecting dust. All of this can be achieved with the MIDI I/O expansion.
All of this MIDI freakiness is just the start though – also out with this update is the ‘MORE TRIGGERS 16’ expander, offering 16 additional trigger/gate outs, chainable to up to 4 units/64 outputs, enough to trigger your room. On the software side, this means a super effective and simple drum matrix screen has been added and you can now set each of the six tracks per your preference – to modular, MIDI or trigger mode. The 2 sample tracks are fixed. More expanders are soon to follow, the closest one being ‘MORE CVS 16’ – we’ll let you figure out what will that one do on your own.
While these are the two most exciting and visible updates, there’s plenty more additions and improvements to the UI and functionality – color coding for tracks, track tempo dividers/multipliers and overall improvements in performance.
This free firmware update is now available on the XOR Electronics website and the More Triggers 16 expander available through its web shop and select dealers."

“Flashing lights” programs bank (FLPB) for Korg Radias synthesizer include 128 professional production ready programs for making music in different genres: cinematic, ambient, space ambient, electronic.
FLPB distributing by RDL file for “Radias Sound Editor” from KORG corp.
All programs of FLPB divided into 8 categories:
Strings / Pad (A01 – C15) – pad-style sounds with long or very long attack for backgrounds or main themes. For some of pads you should wait for a few seconds to sound “open”. All pads react on velocity which can change the character of sound. All pads are very useful in cinematic / ambient / space ambient genres.
Motion (C16 – E03) – pad-style sounds with a more complex structure than simple pads with rhythmic or cycling elements.
Arp / Seq (E04 – F06) – arpeggiated sounds and complete sequences.
Synth soft (F07 – G14) – synth-like polyphonic sounds with short/mid attack to playing melodies and themes.
Lead (G15 – H05) – synth-like monophonic sounds with short/mid attack to playing melodies and themes.
Bass (H06, H07) – two sub-bass programs which you can use to make good low-end in your tracks.
S.E. (H08 – H14) – sound effects for backgrounds.
Split (H15, H16) – for these programs keyboard is divided into 2 zones with different sounds. C4 is a split-point."
