"A beautiful Roland System 100/Model 101 synthesizer that has been serviced, and works 100% perfectly. The person I bought it from recapped it and cleaned it up. All keys play as they should (no double-triggering), tuning is stable, all original knobs, sliders, switches and jacks are present and work perfectly. Cosmetically it is in beautiful condition, with only a small amount of dings (and some wear around the cutoff freq. slider, and a small scratch). From a smoke-free studio. No writings or stickers anywhere.
This synth's tone has been described as "legendary," "majestic," "silky smooth and clear" and "the best Roland mono ever." It has that classic SH-series sound, but it is thicker, warmer, more detailed, powerful... you get the idea."

WMD TEST LAB - Generative Music with WMD METRON and CRUCIBLE
Published on May 3, 2019 WMDevices
"This is a little jam using METRON as a random trigger generator for the rest of this small 6U eurorack system to create some generative, ambient, spacey sounds.
Crucible is being used as a resonator for the WMD Fracture module. The melodic lines are created with two WMD/SSF Spectrum oscillator modules, with occasional FM from one to the other. The Modbox' Sample and Hold output is choosing waveforms on the geiger counter as well controling the VCA that is in control of the FM and crossmod for the Spectrums."
Reverse DC Motor (eurorack module)

"CV OUT: Rotating right gives positive voltage on the CV output, and rotating left will give a negative voltage, no rotation will give 0 volt.
The faster you rotate the higher the voltage will be.
AUDIO OUT:
The faster you rotate the higher the pitch and the higher the volume will be. But the volume is clipped by diodes to never go over around 5v peak to peak.
POTMETER:
Adjust the range of the output signal. on the audio out it will also set the amount of clipping by the diodes (distortion)."

Sputnik Dual Oscillator [Episode 136]
Published on May 2, 2019 CatSynth TV
"We take a closer look at the features and sound quality of the Dual Oscillator from Sputnik Modular. It is a particularly smooth and timbrally rich oscillator with a myriad of internal and external modulation opportunities.
For more information, please visit http://sputnik-modular.com/dual-oscil...
"The Sputnik Dual Oscillator is 100% analog with both generators tracking v/oct, includes a timbre waveshaper plus harmonic dial, two FM inputs, 6 outputs including “Final” out, unipolar CV out and a modulation bus that allows for immediate and extreme timbral control.
The DUAL OSCILLATOR features:
Two Oscillators – Gen 1 with V/Oct, CV input, VCO or LFO mode switch, Triangle, Saw or Square selectable output and FM input. Gen 2 with V/Oct, CV input, FM input and external sync input.
Modulation control section including switches for AM, FM for Timbre bus modulation, CV input for modulation control amount, manual modulation index control and a sync switch making Gen 1 sync to Gen 2.
Harmonics section controls waveshaping of timbre and includes CV or manual controls for Symmetry and Order
Timbre section (primary waveshaping section) includes CV or manual control
Output 1 section includes 3 outputs: Triangle, Select (Triangle, Ramp, Square) waveform and unipolar CV output
Output 2 section includes 3 outputs: Sine, Square and Final (master output)"

Brooklyn Synth Expo Set for June 8 - 9
6th Brooklyn Synth Expo - 80+ builders & 500+ devices in a room, coming up on June 8-9
"Brooklyn, NYC - One of the first synth gatherings of its kind, and the only one 100% free to the public, the Brooklyn Synth Expo is an in-the-headphones show of electronic instrument that was launched in 2014, three years after its sister event, the Stompbox Exhibit.

This year's event, scheduled for June 8-9 will feature for the first time also a series of presentations and workshops in an adjacent room.
While most expos of this kind are hosted in far-flung hotels or convention centers, the Brooklyn Synth Expo is located close to where musicians live, and because of this feels very much like an underground party: this year's event will be hosted in a large (for NYC standards) video facility in Bushwick, the industrial-turned-cool neighborhood many local musicians call home.
This year's show features 80+ vendors and over 500 devices to play with, with a growing presence of Eurorack and Virtual Synth manufacturers.
As usual, there will be plenty of deals on synth and pedals, and also the opportunity to sell and exchange synths through the presence of legendary New Jersey synth store Three Wave Music.
The event is free but requires RSVP, all info can be found here."

Planar FM Indexing
Published on May 2, 2019 Intellijel
"Scales and Planar are a ton of fun together, and with them in a palette case it leaves enough room for 2 Dixies, a µVCA and µVCF. In this patch we're using Planar as an FM Index for the 2 Dixies with µVCF self oscillating as the modulation source.
Scales is playing a sequence, and the different trigger modes have a big impact on how things sound. All these factors combine to make this patch lots of fun to play!"
