Roland Jupiter-X | First Impressions & Sounds From Scratch
Published on Feb 21, 2020 MR TUNA Music
"Just got my hands on the new Roland Jupiter-X and I wanted to get a jump on some videos right away, so here's my first impressions and some sounds from scratch using the included Jupiter-8 engine and some of the built-in effects.
There's lots more worth touching base on that I hope to cover in later videos, but for now, know this thing is a TANK. It's a serious upgrade over the System-8 build quality-wise and the keys are some of the best I've ever played (which is very important to me! {duh!}).
Otherwise, keep in mind this is essentially a pre-release unit and as such I don't have a manual, or any drivers so I'm just sort of figuring it all out as I go, but that being said I will be spending a lot of time trying to figure this thing out and get to the bottom of it all-- So let me know if you have any specific questions I can answer for you."

Dark ambient jam w/ Moog Matriarch, Dreadbox Abyss, ARP Odyssey, Empress Reverb, Big Sky, Timefactor
Published on Feb 21, 2020 Jay Hosking
"A live, semi-improvised performance, all on hardware, and inspired by grief. This track is something of a culmination of the ambient pieces I've been doing recently, taking advantage of three analogue synths with a lot of character. The Matriarch, Abyss, and Odyssey are all kind of dark and textural synths, and with some spectacular effects (thank you as always, Empress, Strymon, and Eventide), they immediately put me in a mood."

Roland Fantom (Ver. 1.50) Focus on VOCODER (2 of 2) - "Doin' it right" - DAFT PUNK cover
Published on Feb 21, 2020 gattobus
Part 1 here
"Here's the second video focus on Fantom's VOCODER (OS ver. 1.50 onwards)
A quick tutorial on how to replicate the vocoder voice of Daft Punk.
If you just want to hear the cover, you can skip at min 2:04
I recommend listening using a good pair of headphones.
(This song contains some very low frequencies it may not sound well in small speakers ;) )
Song's been sequenced using Fantom's internal sequencer.
Some vocals have been dubbed, others were sampled inside the Fantom and played in real time through the sequencer."
